I Loved Her So Much

This past week has been a week of sorrow, feeling lost, lonely another time to mourn. My little Miss Scooter has been failing for the last little bit. I would take her to the vet for a few more meds to buy her some time. I'm wondering was it selfish of me? Did I prolong the inevitable? I didn't want to give up on her, I didn't want to give her up.
The past 12 years
she has brought so much joy into our home. An original birthday gift to Mr. P. They became buds quickly, gaining each other's hearts. This pup would go everywhere with him. Sit on the console of his truck and look like a baby in a car seat. When he passed she cried as I did, mourning him like I did, having a few abandonment issues.
She loved the front porch as much as we did, always with us.

No matter the project, Miss Scooter was always close by, sometimes underfoot and you just dealt. After all she thought she was the queen of the house.

Along with love there was a fair bit of jealousy. She knew she was daddy's little girl and shared him with Murphy although sometimes not willingly.

A week ago today I shed more tears saying goodbye to another love of my life. The house seems larger now, more empty a lot more quiet. As I worked on a project the last couple of evenings her presence was noticeably missing. She brought so much joy into those that visited the shop, those I shared her picture with on Facebook. I miss you like crazy Miss Scooter my little boo baby, you'll forever share a special place in my heart.

She was so adorable! Our fur babies bring us so much love and happiness, making it so difficult when we lose them. I'm sorry for your loss. Our pets are most definitely beloved members of the family. Sending hugs.

Our fur babies are family too.

Dear Lynne,
So very sorry for your loses. It is hard to let go and say good-bye. So hard. I'm so sorry you're hurting.

I'm so sorry, Lynne. My heart feels heavy for your losses. Miss Scooter was so cute! I love how they are our companions. A chunk of our heart goes when they do. I wrote about my Milo today, as he's getting older and a bit more worn down this past year. I can't help but think of how devastated I'll be when I lose him.

Sending a big hug.

I know just exactly how you feel and my heart goes out to you. I was so sad to hear this. It is happening to a few of our blogger friends..
That is the hardest part of owning pets..they are family and when they go they leave such an emptiness and heartache that only time can help heal.
Sending love...and a hug.
