~ Everyone Needs a Watch Dog ~

After leaving the open house at Mary Carol Garrity's, I came home inspired and all fired up to get more of my silver out and display it. If you missed any of those posts, you can view them HERE, HERE, HERE AND HERE. For those of you who don't know who Mary Carol Garrity is, she's the owner of 3 beautiful stores in our area and author to many books. Amazon has some great deals on those if you're interested in checking them out.

The last time you viewed the hutch it was done up all in blues. You can view that post HERE. I didn't realize it had been a while since I changed things up. I had a ball going from room to room gathering everything up. Grouping things together make more of a statement. The best part of this  makeover, didn't cost a penny. I just shopped the house. :-))
I've had this silver tray for a while now. I'm obsessed with silver, would love to have more of it. Shopping EBay and the Etsy Stores does have it's advantages and disadvantages, sometimes the shipping is outrageous, other times you can get quite the bargain. Sitting here in front of the computer screen it's far too easy just to hit buy now, a person has to practice self control.

This sweet crystal sugar and creamer set was only $3.99 purchased at a local antique mall a while back. It matches a few other pieces I've had for years. I would love to have some crystal plates, wouldn't it make a beautiful tablescape?

These 3 pieces were all gifts many years ago, I just pulled them from the various other places in my home.

$2.99 then half off from H/L many years ago. Can you say BARGAIN? Don't you love saying it?

I've slowly been adding Silver into the dining room. However, this vignette needed some silver candlesticks, the candles are my battery operated ones from the shop.. The rooster platter I've had for years, thought the toile added a bit more texture and excitement to the vignette.

Everyone needs a watch dog to keep an eye on the silver don't they? lol. I purchased this late last fall at Nell Hill's in Briarcliff. I've moved it several times, seems to float back here, guess he's found his home huh?
I carry these sweet silver dishes in the shop, they've flown out the door. Naturally I had to have one for myself. ;-)
I have a fetish about cords showing. If you look closely you can see a wooden box sitting underneath. The lamp looks just a tad lonely don't you think?
So..... I moved my decorating books underneath and added a cream platter into the mix, the flow now continues from the top to the bottom.  Ta-Dah!!! No more cord showing!

Thank you for stopping in today. I wanted to share an update about our Gloria from Happy to Be, she is progressing along nicely, and hopefully will get to go home tomorrow. If you haven't been by to leave your well wishes yet, I know she would appreciate it if you would. Her daughter Dwana has been keeping us updated and has shared our comments with her. As a short cut you can go HERE to do that, thank all of you for doing so.
Marty, thank you for hosting each week, we all appreciate your hard work and efforts for us to share our tabletop vignettes. Until next time......
