Happy Spook Ta-cular Halloween!!

Happy Spook Ta-cular Halloween to all you fellow blogger's. This is a display I did at my other job ( Annie's Furniture and Gifts) and thought I would share it with you.
This little guy has his own light. As you can see it makes him quite happy. Look at that smile. :-))
Almost like a majic carpet ride, this ghost rides the winds on top a pumpkin.
Many of us have candlesticks we use for candles. I like finding other uses for them. I put the pumpkins on top the candlesticks and find it makes quite the statement.
I hope you each have a safe and Happy Halloween. Save some of the candy for the kiddies that knock on your door. lol

~~~We Have a Winner~~~
Wow!! You bloggers are amazing!! Thank you so much for leaving such kind and generous comments with each visit you make. I'm astounded at the overflowing kindness from all of you. The response to our give away well surpassed anything I had expected!! This past year has certainly been a journey I'll always treasure, along with all of the "friends" I've made along the way. Because of you there is a Lynne's Gifts from the Heart blog. I hope to be able to continue blogging, learning and making more friends this next year. Now....
Have I kept you in suspense long enough? Are you ready to find out who the winner of all these goodies is??? If only I had a drum to do the drum roll on....
The lucky winner of the first annual blogoversary give away is: Cindy from OnlyMeHere. Cindy please email me your address and I'll get these goodies boxed up and sent your way. I wish I had something for everyone who entered. But.....stayed tuned there will be another give away in the not too distant future.. I'm about to hit my 200Th post! Can you believe it? I know you're probably wondering what happened to the 100Th post. Well, at that time I had Mr. P in the hospital and when I got him home and got back to blogging I totally over looked that first big event. So..... this next give away promises to be another goodie. :-)))
~~There's Still Time~~
I wanted to share this little guy with you today. He is just one of the fun things that you greet you this fall as you walk into our home. Can you see the little chain and hooks? You can quickly change it out with the seasons. They store flat, don't take up alot of room. And are just down right fun. lol
I hope this finds each of you having a Super Sunday. It's rained here off and on all day. A typical fall day in our area. Just a little reminder there's still time to sign up for the basket of goodies give away. To check out the entry and how to sign up you can go
here for all the details. I'll be closing it down at 10:00 PM this evening. So, if you haven't been by to sign up there's still time. I want to thank all of you for your entries. The response has been tremendous and just the most fun.
A Spot of Tea For Pink Saturday
It's been awhile since I've participated in Pink Saturday. It feels wonderful to be back. Each week Beverly from How Sweet the Sound is gracious enough to host this wonderful event for us. You can click here for a full list of those participating. You are definitely in for a treat. A full day of wonderful Pink. I thought I would share with you a much earlier post. I hope for those that have seen it before enjoy it again, as well as those first time viewers. Many of you know I love lamps. Lamps of any kind. I have a true weakness for them, however they must be unique and speak to my heart. Then they get to come home with me. lol.
This sweet tulip lamp I've had for many many years. I purchased it through one of the companies I was buying from at the time for the shop. They've since been discontinued. ;-( The graceful tulip shade seems to play a special tune each and every time I turn it on. OK.. so it doesn't actually play music, but it puts a smile on my face like some of my favorite music does.. lol I think the toile in the drapes are the perfect back drop for this dainty lamp.
I always try to use a part of my tea cup collection while decorating whenever possible. The bright pink at the top of the delicate cup matches the tulip lamp perfectly.
Every tea cup needs it's own saucer. :-))
It's rained off and on here for 2 days and the temperatures have dropped. We have a crisp 41 degrees. Perfect for curling up with a good decorating book and a spot of tea.
I hope you enjoyed my little contribution to Pink Saturday as much as I enjoyed putting it together for you. Stayed tuned, updates are coming soon of the toile room. I have a couple more changes to make before the "full" reveal is revealed. As always, Beverly, thank you for hosting Pink Saturday each week.
One Short Year Later
Welcome to Our Home
365 days have passed since I entered the world of blogging. I'm still in awe that I took that first leap. I remember that day a year ago, oh so well, I was literally scared to death. I questioned myself over and over again. I had started reading blogs about 8 months prior and was in such awe of all their subject matter and all of their wonderful pictures. After visiting with a few friends they suggested I take the leap. So, I took a shot of the sun porch, jumped in with both feet and as they say the rest is history. :-)) If only it went that smoothly. I remember counting to 10 more than one time before I hit Publish Post. If you would like to go back to see the beginning you can click here . I was so afraid that no one would stop and if they did they wouldn't leave a kind comment. You see, I was still feeling a bit burned from the Rate My Space days. Little did I know, that Blog land is a much kinder arena to be in.
I've learned so much about the computer and all of it's little personality flaws, (usually it's me and not the computer that has the flaws...lol). I've learned how to enlarge pictures, to move them around, to increase or decrease the font size. I've learned more than anything it takes about 20 pictures of the same subject matter to get it just right. lol Anyway it does for me. :-)) Some say I'm a bit on the particular side. lol And occasionally, one will get by and posted and it drives me insane. But, that my friends is life.
Throughout this past year I've met so many kind and generous hearted people. Those I'll call friends for the rest of my life. I still find myself learning new and fun things with the blog. I'm still meeting new friends and visiting their homes daily. I find myself in an arena full of friends. And for that I'm truly grateful. I'm grateful for you dear friends, for without you there would be no Lynnesgiftsfromtheheart. So my hat goes off to all of you and to your wonderful blogs.
From Bill and myself, we both thank you for swinging by daily leaving your sweet comments and continued prayers. You never fail to put a smile on our face and a song in our hearts. So, from this day forward we go up the roller coaster ride once again and onto new frontiers.
Just a short post it here:So, here are the rules my friends. Nothing to hard. Leave a comment on this post, and you get one entry, let me know if you are a follower and you get two entries, post it on your blog and link it back to me and you get a third entry. Be sure to let me know you've done so, so I can count that third important entry..lol See, not hard at all.. lol The winner will be revealed on Monday October 26th. Good luck to each and every one of you enter.
And a very big Thank You for stopping by each day and leaving me such wonderful comments. I read each and every one of them. I'm sure many have noticed it takes me awhile to get back over to your blogs, working 2 jobs doesn't leave alot of time for playing on here. But, I do get there. I thank you for your patience and understanding.
~~The Reveal~~
The " big-reveal" of the Basket Give Away is finally here. Just a little thank you from me to you for coming along on this journey with me this past year.
First item to go into the basket were these wonderful recipe cards.
On top of this adorable basket liner.
Next I teased you with the edges of these darling leaf plates. :-))
Last item, this wonderful smelling potpourri. I still have mine from last year. So after using it this year, if you put yours in a tightly sealed bag; next year when you bring it out, it will smell as good as it does this year. :-))
Which brings us to a full basket of goodies. But alas, are we missing something?
Of course we are!! Remember the silly looking legs? I enjoyed all the guesses about this clue. It was the Boo sign for Halloween. :-)) Which brings us full circle.
I can't thank you enough for playing along. I hope you had as much fun as I did.
So, here are the rules my friends. Nothing to hard. Leave a comment on this post, and you get one entry, let me know if you are a follower and you get two entries, post it on your blog and link it back to me and you get a third entry. Be sure to let me know you've done so, so I can count that third important entry..lol See, not hard at all.. lol The winner will be revealed on Monday October 26th. Good luck to each and every one of you enter.
And a very big Thank You for stopping by each day and leaving me such wonderful comments. I read each and every one of them. I'm sure many have noticed it takes me awhile to get back over to your blogs, working 2 jobs doesn't leave alot of time for playing on here. But, I do get there. I thank you for your patience and understanding.
P.S. Be sure to swing over to Gloria's and join in the celebration of her One Year Blogoversary Event. You can click here so as not to miss out on the celebration.
~~Last Reveal ~ One Day To Go~~
With only 2 days to go, the big reveal is almost here. This last and final clue is an easy one. I know you'll have no problems figuring out what lies with in this sweet vintage looking dish. With the edges in the shape of a leaf I thought it was the perfect dish to put this delightful clue .
Aren't these just the sweetest little things? :-)) Another beautiful edge for your viewing pleasure.
I only wish the sweet aroma of the rose hips and cinnamon came through the screen. It's a wonderful fall scent. One that welcomes you into our home. I hope the sun is shining on you today and is full of happiness and laughter. Until tomorrow my dear friends.
Touch of Autumn's Beauty
While out walking the other day I noticed the tree down by the shop was starting to turn. I love the way Mother Nature starts at the top and exposes her beauty. The photo doesn't do this beauty justice. The leaves are a rich deep burgandy pink.
Thanks for swinging by today to say hello. If you're not a follower, now might be the time to join, so you won't miss out on the upcoming fun events I have planned. Keep checking back for yet another fun clue to be exposed for the Blogoversary Give Away Basket. Just my little thanks.
Thanks for hanging in there with me through all the trials that have hit our home and the sporadic postings. All of your sweet comments mean the world. So, the countdown continues and we have a couple of more items to add. I hope you all check back in and let me know you were here. I look forward to reading all of your guesses! :-))
A Bit of Beauty on A Cloudy Day
Last Sunday was a beautiful fall day in our area of the country. A bit on the crisp side, perfect for being outside. I got busy shortly after 1 mowing the yard. I'm hoping this is the last mowing of the season. :-)) While walking back from putting the mower up, I discovered the Clematis was starting to bloom once again. About a month ago I clipped it as close to the ground as I could. For whatever reason about mid-season it always starts to get a bit sad looking. The middle seems to die out while the rest thrives. Do any of you have this problem? If so, I would love for you to tell me what I can do to help prevent this next year.
Now, these pictures could have waited until Outdoor Wednesday, but I was anxious to show you their beauty. lol :-)) Good blogger that I am, I quickly went in and got my camera to take a few shots of this late beauty.
The intensity of the color is incredible.
It almost appears as if I've staged these two blooms, but this is the way they were laying.
Mother Nature at it's best.
If the early frost doesn't hit , we might be fortunate to have a few more blooms this season.Standing at attention. I see we have a visitor joining us.My ever faithful "outside" companion Murphy followed me step by step as I took these shots.
It's very cold and cloudy here today, I hope this brought a bit of sunshine your way.
Don't forget to swing back by for yet another update to the give away basket. I can hardly believe it's almost here.. Can't wait to reveal "all" of the goodies to you. :-))
Cockle Doodle Doo On Tablescape Thursday
I'm so happy to be participating once again with all you wonderful blogger's for Tablescape Thursday. Once again hosted by Susan from over at Between Naps on The Porch. Be sure to swing over by her beautiful blog for a list of all those participating this week with their beautiful tablescapes.
I did this post just a short time back, but wanted to repost for those that didn't get a chance to stop by. I love roosters and have many and thought this beauty made a beautiful centerpiece. His colors are so vibrant and work well with the dishes I chose. I have him perched on top of a cake stand I purchased a while back, flanked with beautiful faux grapes.
The faux grapes play well off the grapes around the base of the rooster.
The beautiful shade of green on the cake stand goes well with the rest of the dishes I'm trying to collect from this particular manufacturer. I know many of you have other colors that the Bordello group have made. I've found the quality to be amazing.
I've stacked the green ivy dishes on top of the wonderful white lace edged charger from Penney's. The ivory edged dishes were a gift from mother many years ago.
Bottom of plate.
The dotted swiss lace edge touches my heart each time I use them. The plate on top was a purchase many years ago at the Dollar General Store here in town. Around the edge you'll find wonderful raised fruit and flowers.
Bottom of plate.
I choice the napkins that match the tablecloth and wrapped them with wonderful beaded napkin rings. Purchased last year after Christmas on sale at Walmart. Stacked beauty.
From above
Can't get enough of this bling. :-)) Close up.
Green glasses came from Walmart last summer.
I'm sure you remember my bargain from Target. I love this flatware.
Crackled candleholders were a steal of a deal at Hobby Lobby many years ago. Close up. I can remember bringing these home and Mr. P making fun of me for buying something that looked broken. I had to smile and say, "that's the way they are suppose to look." He just shook his head. He didn't say a word but you know he was still trying to figure it all out.. lol
This dish was a great find at an estate sale.
Salt and pepper anyone?
From above.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this "repeat" tablescape performance. Don't forget to treat yourself by swinging over to Susan's for a full list of beautiful tablescapes. And as always Susan, thank you for hosting another fun filled Thursday.
