Let's turn some lights on

As fall approaches and our days get shorter, it's a good excuse to turn our lamps on. Lamps are a great way to add ambiance to any room, scattered across the room from each other they cast a mood of serenity and peace. Today I would like to share just a few of the lamps I have scattered across our home.

This beauty sits in the kitchen on top the mantel of the fireplace.

My love for bunnies isn't a secret. Everyone, and I do mean everyone "knows" I adore bunnies. Even the grandson says," you'll find bunnies every where in Grandma's house"! :-)) I fell in love with this lamp a very long time ago. I worked around it for over 4 years before "caving" and bringing it home. A perfect fit in the toile bedroom. Who couldn't fall in love with these cuties?
Across the room on the antique dresser sits a metal shaded lamp. The look is complete with some vintage books and family pictures. (I've changed the top of this dresser out, I'll share with you in a future post, what a difference a couple of changes made).

A close up look of the vintage metal shade.
Situated in the living room is this gorgeous beaded lamp. Originally purchased for another area of the home it has now found it's way to the living area. (I've changed a few things out on this vignette as well, stay tuned to see those changes).

Across the room is another style lamp with a "gorgeous" red shade.

Gorgeous huh?

With the lights on. Such a romantic glow. :-))

This beautiful velvet shaded lamp sits on the end of the couch on a marble topped table. I've since removed all the place mats and runners. I felt a need to lighten the tables up a bit and let their beauty shine.

How about sitting a lamp onto of a few suitcases? The suitcases were a gift from my girl friend many years ago, a perfect landing spot for this lamp.

Try as I might I could not get a good picture of this lamp. :-(

Our home has a "very" small entry. As Mr. P says I always seem to find room. lol Although small, I managed to work in this wonderful trunk on a metal stand with the lamp and great plate. I feel that it's cozied up a small blank wall. :-))
The glass ball encased in metal adds to the texture and weight of the lamp. The leather like shade adds a bit more character.
And last but not least, is one of my favs, this adorable bunny lamp. I've had it quite a while and each and every time I look at it I remember fondly the day I purchased it.

With the lights on...

I'm glad you stopped by for the tour of just a "few" of my favorite lamps. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do, if you have a favorite lamp I would love to hear about it. Until next time....
