The Grand Finale

Each year as I bring out the ornaments for the tree, memories are stirred. I recall purchasing the first Hallmark ornament almost 32 years ago for Mr. P. Each year I've purchased one to give him related to the business we were in. This year was no different, although I don't believe he got as much enjoyment out of it as in years past. This past year has brought many changes aroumd our home, I pray the New Year is more kind and gracious.
I struggled taking many pictures trying to get a "good" one of the full tree, I finally settled on the one you're viewing. Do you ever have days like that? Any-hoo, I'll hush so you can view the pictures.

So, there you have it folks. The tree is dressed and waiting for packages and Santa. From all of us here we want to wish each and eveyone of you a Very Merry Christmas!

The Big Guy Takes Center Stage

I don't recall where I got the gold rimmed wine glasses, the bubble glasses came from Big Lots a few years back.

Royal Stafford dishes were purchased at TJ Maxx a while back, the pattern is Hay Ride.

Isn't the dog just the cutest? Yes, I've gone bonkers over anything with a dog in it. My daughter just shakes her head and says, "Wow"! I think she thinks Mom has lost her mind. lol

A few years back I was pouring through Touchstone Catalog and fell in love with the Santa Bust. The price was way out of my budget. Earlier in the week I recall seeing one at Hobby Lobby that looked very similar. I called my daughter and asked her to go over and check it out for me, (you see I'm an hour away, she's five minutes from there lol) She shot me a picture via cell phone, I approved the picture and the rest is history. Not only is it similar it's done by the same artist.
Aren't the details amazing? The gold chargers were purchased a few years back at TJ Maxx. I love the weight of them and the sculptured edge.

Flatware is from Target. I'm still looking and wanting red and black. :-))

The small gold mercury votives were purchased at Nell Hill's in Atchison this past fall.

With the big day drawing closer by the minute, I know many of you are busy with last minute shopping, wrapping gifts, and putting the finishing touches on your meals. I'm looking forward to seeing all of your beautiful tablescapes. I have a couple more posts of Christmas to share with you before the "big" day. Until then we want to wish all of you a safe and Happy Holiday!
