First Annual Rooster Party

The long awaited day has finally arrived. It's a Rooster Party through out Blog Land. Hosted by our gracious hostess Barb. You can click here to find a full list of those participating. I know we'll find all kinds of beautiful Roosters strutting their stuff. lolOne year ago today is the anniversary of the flooding we had in our Master Bath and basement. I'm so glad there's a party to attend, to take my mind off the memory of that catastrophe. :-))

Let's start in the sun porch. This beauty is nestled under an iron urn full of greenery and beautiful sunflowers.

This chest was purchased a while back at Big Lots. On sale for $69.00. The shape of the cabinet itself is darling, but the rooster on the front was the defining factor in this little cutie come home with me. lol
I love decorating with plates. The harlequin pattern adds a bit more excitement to the beauty of this rooster. Looks like he's getting ready to dance a jig doesn't he?
This darling plate sits upon the counter top in the kitchen. I carried this beauty in my shop for awhile. Naturally, it has be discontinued. :-(
This beautiful plate I also carried in the shop and once again, has been discontinued. :-(
Fronts of canisters.
These beauties even have their own metal tray they sit in.
I've had this lamp for quite awhile. He holds court in the laundry room. Each fall he's nestled among fall leaves, lights and gourds. This picture doesn't do the red and cream stripe shade justice.
Cute rooster pillow my daughter picked up for me.
Tops of another set of canisters.
This beauty sets atop the cabinets in the laundry room. Even has his own night
light. :-)
Metal piece I picked up last fall at Lowe's. On sale for $9.00. This also hangs in the laundry room.
This beautiful iron piece hangs on my kitchen wall. And last but not least the largest of all my roosters sits upon the top of the cabinets in the kitchen. I purchased him many years ago at Hobby Lobby during their 50% off sale. His colors are truly amazing. Thanks for making us a stop during this wonderful Rooster Party Event. Barb, thanks so much for hosting your First Annual Rooster Party. Now, let's scoot over to Barb's to visit the others participating in the party.. hugs ~lynne~

Oh, Lynne, what beauties you have here. The chest is divine and I adore ALL the roosters. Your pictures are really so very pretty.

So sorry about your Master Bath being flooded. Ours was flooded in February....we had to redo the entire room! Yikes.

Thanks for being such a special part of this day!!

Lynne,

Love All of your roosters! Wow. 2 sets of canisters!! Couldn't make up your mind, huh? I like the chest too, the colors look good against black. And I love the pillow and metal wall hanging.

Now the rooster in your sunroom is gorgeous. But I noticed the iron urn next to it and the floral arrangement. I picked up silk flowers today at the Dollar Tree so similar, the red ones and the little green bud type and I was thrilled to see your vase because it is arranged the way I will arrange mine! lol!! I'm not good with that and always need a model!!

Have a great weekend, Lynne!!

Hi Lynne,

Well, I got some of my roosters posted, even though I may have damaged my 'fairly new' camera. :(
The shutter is sticking, but with all the items that have been breaking these past weeks, maybe I should have expected it. One of my girlfriends said that 'I must be living under a dark cloud right now'. I enjoyed seeing your roosters, so many have posted some that it will take me all week to see them all. Thanks for your visit to my blog.

Lynne,

I believe the troubles that you've had lately are of more concern then mine, yours are loved ones, mine are mostly just things (which can be replaced). Well most can be replaced.....My beloved 11yr. old Collie, Sergei, gave me a big scare yesterday, he may have had a mini stroke, although he seems okay now. I'm going to try to bath and groom him today and hope that, that makes him feel better.
Thanks for all your kind words, I'll keep you and yours in my prayers. GOD BLESS

Hi Lynne,

I love all your colorful roosters! What fun! Your plates are so lovely, too. You have a great idea to use such pretty canisters in your laundry room. When I get a "real" laundry room (not the cellar), I think that is just the ticket.

I read your about me page. I think we are somewhat similar journeys...we have been married 31 years. My husband has been diagnosed with MS and has declined fairly significantly and quickly in a very short time. You are so right...each day, moment by moment...everything changes... you will be in my prayers and thoughts.

With kindest regards,
Debbykay at Rose Cottage Gardens and Farm

Wow... you have so many beautiful things in your home! I love the rooster theme! I guess your family knows what to get you on your birthday?

I used to have a rooster kitchen when I lived in the States. It was actually really cute, sort of French Country. Maybe I should try out a similar theme here in Norway?

Have a wonderful Sunday!
