~ Hunt/Equestrian Style Dining Room ~

A while back I shared a few things that was happening in the dining room. I was waiting on a couple of things to come in before sharing another area. I have to admit they've been in for a while, pictures were even taken. I got bogged down with other things, does that happen to you? To refresh your memory of another wall you can go HERE. I didn't realize it has been that long ago.
The dining room began taking on it's Hunt Theme or Equestrian theme almost naturally. During the holidays for the past few years I've had a Hunt Themed tree full of feathers, pheasants and deer ornaments. The pleasure it gives me each year is beyond measure. After the tree came down I discovered I missed the warmth it gave to the dining room. If you missed Pheasants In the Dining Room  you can go HERE.
After the decision was made the "hunt"  (no pun intended) was on to find just the right items to put together in a gallery effect. Don't you love gallery walls? In some settings a single picture shows off it's beauty, in others the wall screams to have a gallery setting. As in this wall, one picture would have been fine, I knew I wanted a gallery for a couple of reasons. Each item I chose to put together can be moved to some where else. You know I don't leave anything in one place too long.
The use of the black box helps add height without adding another larger piece. You all know I have an "obsession" with lamps. I can't recall where this beauty came from. The cocker spaniel piece came from Pottery Barn a couple of years ago.
The antique book an EBay win earlier this year.
Vintage stamp holder another EBay win.
I love monogrammed anything, when I found the picture with the initial of our last name on it, I knew it would work perfectly in the wall gallery.

Do you shop Etsy? Etsy is like a great magazine you can't put down, you want to just keep turning the pages stopping here and there to admire or possibly make a purchase or two. The English Hunt plates were purchased through Nancy's shop. If you love transferware, treat yourself to visiting her beautiful shop, you can go HERE to find all sorts of patterns in multiple colors. If you need help she's just an email away from answering your questions. I've purchased many things from her and love each and every piece. Shipping is reasonable and fast.

A metal urn full of Pheasant feathers adds a bit of height to the corner. Our ceilings are 9', even though the furniture is tall in stature I felt it still needed some height to balance out the gallery wall.

Let's take a peek behind the glass door.
The brown tureen was a gift my bf a while back. It floats around the dining room, depending upon my mood you never know where it's going to land.
Flow Blue tea set was a gift my Betty for Christmas many years ago. The crystal compote another gift. Don't you love filling your cabinets with treasured gifts? Maybe I should name it the Gift Secretary. I purchased the Spode dogs as a gift to myself, I'm now carrying these in my shop. Yay!! I was so excited to get these beauties in, they add a bit of class and elegance to the displays.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the other side of the dining room all decked out in it's
Hunt/Equestrian Style. How would you name it? I'll be anxious to see what you all have to say. Thank you for stopping in to say hello. Your sweet comments always touch our hearts. Apparently I'm still having trouble with some of you being able to leave comments. I'm at a total loss as what to do about the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? I welcome any and all help.
