~ Time to Dress the Bench for Fall ~

I know many of you have already started your fall decorating, the shop is full and ready, this weekend I plan to start on our home. I've been resisting for as long as I can. The days are cool and damp, perfect for doing a bit of fall decorating inside.

Labor Day weekend I was busy with all sorts of projects, one was re-staining the bench. I've had it for 14 years now, it was desperately calling out for a sprucing up. A fresh coat of stain on the wood and the iron painted with some rust-oleum stain gives it a new life. The ferns aren't nearly as pretty this year as in years past, won't be long and I'll feel the urns with mums. :-))
Last Spring the bench was decorated with red pillows and the new bee pillow. You might recall seeing that post here.  I've searched high and low trying to find just the right thing to take the bee pillows place. I think I've found it.
I fell in love with the beautiful striped pillow and mixed it with the green veined leaf pillow.

What do you think? Fall like? Gosh I'm loving the change the colors make.

For now I've moved the metal pumpkin on the short table in front of the bench. I'm hoping this weekend to find the perfect shade of mums to dress the sides of the bench and the table.
Well.. there you have the bench all dressed for fall. Thank you for coming by, I'm still working on getting more pictures of Mary Carol's Open house put together..I'm telling you I took "tons" of pictures, not to overload you at one time, I'm trying to separate them into rooms. I hope you're having a fantastic Friday!
