~ A Finished Project and a Reveal ~

Hi everyone, how was your weekend? Did you do anything exciting?  I would love to hear about your adventures. It was quite warm here, and very humid. My original plan on Saturday was to slip away to our local Mushroom festival, take a few pictures to share and buy a funnel cake. I shared pictures of the set up HERE.  Instead, after closing the shop for the day I got busy trimming out some of the brush and a few tree limbs. The mule was filled 3 times and dumped, I still have all the bushes to trim. I love the way they look after a fresh trimming but question why I planted so many in the first place. lol The 'ole body went through quite a workout, I'm sure I shed a few pounds from all the sweating, ahhh I mean perspiring, women don't sweat do they? I had a small accident while trimming a couple of lower branches on the Bradford Pear Tree. One of the branches was just a bit too large for the loppers to handle, I worked and worked until I cut through, once it was loose it popped and down I went over a small decorative fence row. I have a couple of key bruises to show for all that tugging, pulling and cutting but no major damage.

You know I can be a bit of a stinker, just a few short days ago I posted a teaser picture or two. You can slip back  HERE to refresh your memory.

After looking at something for so long, we sometimes become complacent, ignoring the fact that something has been the same for far too long.
I've had the small footstool for years, have changed the fabric on top just once in all those years. With all the other changes I'm slowly making around here it was way over due for a change.
From stripes...
To more of a vintage timeless look...
Did you figure out what the blue babble was? They're actually curtain tiebacks. Thinking outside the box I decided to use them as a decorative piece on the small footstool. Normally I would use decorating books as well, I didn't want to cover the beauty of the fabric.
The small footstool sits under the oval shaped table in the living area. Notice anything new? :-)
I enjoy using family pictures in a vignette draws our family close to us.
