~ Yard Art ~

Happy Wednesday everyone! This week has flown by, they say the older we get the faster they go. I'm finding that to be true more and more.
Outside the shop sits a bicycle I purchased almost 8 years ago. The fading patina adds to the whimsy of the yard art scattered here and there. I've had trouble keeping anything alive in the 3 pots to the backside of the bicycle, so this Spring after spraying the pots black I thought I would try ground cover. Goodness knows I have a few areas where the ground cover is really taking over. I pulled "tons" of it up. You can see it is thriving. Score!

You know I love dishes, when I spotted this darling teacup on a stand I knew I could use it outside in the yard some where. I believe it's meant to hold water or birdseed, I just enjoy it's whimsy.
Weathered   :-))
Everyone needs a rooster to wake them each morning right? Well, I wouldn't go that far, at least I can look at this one and smile.
With rust  starting to take over, showing  it's age only adds to his character.

Many years ago when the daughter was still at home we painted a lot of ceramic pieces. This little guy resides under the wheelbarrow, semi sheltered from the blistering sun.

A weathered and aged bee hive.

While doing all the clean up earlier this spring, you can go here to see all of that, I added 3 Hostas to this end of the planter box. Once the Hostas grow and fill in this area will be more lucsious looking.

Another view...
A bit more whimsy.....
