~ It Began With A Garden ~

There is so much inspiration across blog land, I'm always amazed at the beauty you create each week.  Last week while visiting over at Alycia's blog Tablescapes at Table Twenty-One I was inspired to rush outside before the rains came to cut some Peonies for a tablescape.
There's no way I can match the opulent beauty of her table, I can however, try to put a spin on my own table. Alycia thank you for inspiring me each week.
With our weather acting like a yo-yo this year the Peony blooms are showcasing their beauty early.
My evening walks are filled with their abundant fragrance. As I cut the blooms for the tablescape clouds were rolling in I had to act quickly.
I chose the pitcher a gift from my Betty many years ago for the centerpiece. After cutting the pink and white peonies I decided it needed a bit of height. I wanted to stick with cut flowers, traveling the yard my eyes settled on the Pink Weigela bush, a perfect choice . They don't last long, but sure added the needed punch I was going for.

All stacked up.
From above.

Adding bling to a table makes it pop. What gal doesn't love jewelry? I picked these up at Pier 1 last week while I was in the city replacing microwave No. 1 with microwave No. 2.
White monogrammed hem stitched napkins have been a great work horse for me.

Blue coffee mugs were purchased from Garden Ridge about 10 years ago. Looking through the glass you can see the reflection of diamonds that span the napkin ring, if only they were real. lol

The scent was heavenly.

After breaking down the table I brought the flowers inside to enjoy for a few more days. I recently read if you put a penny and an aspirin in the water you'll be able to enjoy your flowers for a week. I tried this and it worked, just shy of 7 days my flowers were still as fresh as the day I cut them. I hope you'll try it to see if it works for you.

Thank you for stopping in to say hello. Your sweet comments always touch our hearts. It is because of you I do what I do. Until next time.....
I've received several emails telling me you aren't able to leave a comment. I'm not sure what the problem is or who to contact, I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day to stop by for a visit and to try.
