~ Breakfast of Champions ~

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day or so the story goes. Over the years we've seen a lot of commercials advertising these little circles being the Breakfast of Champions. Whole grain goodness along with juicy red strawberries make a lovely combination. Bone colored flatware from Target perfect for dipping into those cute little circles. Red Crystal from Walmart is perfect for our glass of milk.A small pitcher like those I sale in the shop will be used to delicately pour the milk over  our bowl of Cheerios. Swirled edge place mats from Walmart bought a few years back mimic the edge of the red and white dishes. Paula Dehn candle makes the dining experience a bit more enjoyable. Transporting the brain from breakfast to dinner, the fragrance of apple pie makes you yearn for a piece of apple pie. Leaning gracefully, waiting ever so patiently to be dipped in sugar. A beautiful mug ready for stemming hot coffee. A crystal dish holds the hint of danish delight.Who's says you can't drink milk out of a crystal glass? Certainly not me! :-))Plump and juicy.....Monogrammed napkins scrunched in layers..."P" for our last name. Not realizing a thread needed to be clipped until after pictures were taken and uploaded only adds to the character and use of the napkin. Crystal to drink out of, jewels to wrap the napkins, one can only say we dine in style. Beautiful crystal base shimmers and shines, holds treats to feed the soul.Glazed raspberry filled donuts, doesn't get any better than this. Leaving you with a shot from above the Breakfast of Champions. I hope you enjoyed viewing the table, please help yourself to a donut or two. There are more ready to come out of the oven.

Really like the red and white together. A very pretty setting for a meal or just coffee. I can eat honey nut cheerios without the milk, but I am not a breakfast eater. I am very much aware it is an important meal, but food early in the morning does not work for me.

I was being such a good girl today....until I saw those raspberry-filled donuts!!! Why, oh why??!?!?! I am ruined now! I HAVE to have a donut!!! We are currently visiting a small town in SE Missouri, and I don't think they have a Krispy Kreme or anything around here. I'm going to lose my mind!!!!!!! ;-) Beautiful table...and I, too, am a fan of drinking milk or any beverage out of beautiful glasses! Have a wonderful weekend!!!
