The Yucca's Bloom and A Visitor

With all the rains we've had the Yucca's are prettier than ever. I love seeing the sword-shaped leaves produce a stalk of beautiful blooms each year. To me it's always the sign summer and heat is right around the corner.
 My only wish
is they would bloom a little longer.
Each of the seven plants are all blooming this year, what a sight.

Looking down from the back door, I can't get enough of their beauty.

The other day I shared the front of my home with all of you. Welcome to the back of my home. This is the view as you drive in. To the left you'll see the 3 car garages and the back entry most often used when visiting. To the right of the picture you drive to my gift shop located underneath the long pergola. If you look closely you'll see the small sign hanging saying Shop Entrance.
My nightly visitor is such a beauty. For the last couple of nights he comes at the same time, wonders the East fence line slow and easy. Miss Scooter doesn't seem to be bothered by the deer coming for a visit. Now when the raccoon waddles up the East fence row let's just say it's a different story all together.
I'm staying busy working on projects inside, so stay tuned for more updates. Are you working on anything special or enjoying the beginning of Summer?
Fondly ~ Lynne ~

The yucca blossoms are beautiful...so is your visitor! Are you as sick of the rain as I am? I wish it could be spread among the states that so desperately need it...I don't think the wheat will ever dry out so it can be harvested.
Have a great weekend.

I was so glad to see your ADT sign out front, Lynne, because you seem to be in a remote area, and that's alot of property for one little girl to protect all at one time. I am just me, myself and I, too, and I find my ADT sign to bring alot of comfort! I think your home is just beautiful and your shop is devine~ I can tell you and your husband have worked really hard to get it this way, and it shows! I enjoy your blog so much. I live in Phoenix, AZ and our Yucca haven't even started to bloom yet, even with all the rain. You have a green thumb, for sure! Hugs, Judy

Ha. Funny how Miss Scooter allows deer to roam happily --- but lookout raccoon! Sounds like my sister's Bichon --- smart as a whip and guards his domain ferociously, which happens to be anywhere that he is at any given moment! tee-hee Anyways, as ferociously as a Bichon can. :) He's far too sweet to live up to his supposed actions of protection. He loves seeing/chasing bunnies in their backyard. So happens the bunnies are smart as well and sometimes even seem as though they tease him to get him going. It's a riot! :)
Your out-doors looks as peaceful and beautiful as inside your home. It must be like a haven to you. So happy that you have a place like that, where you can find peace & solitude. .

Wow those yuccas do love spectacular! I always wish my perennials would last a lot longer- it seems like waiting a whole year to see them again is a bit long compared to how long we get to enjoy them! You have a wonderful piece of property and a pretty home. I'd definitely visit your shop if I lived nearby!

Hi Lynne! Oh, the yuccas' blooms are so pretty! We had three yuccas at the side of our house when we lived in New Mexico. I don't remember them looking as pretty as yours! Your grounds are so beautiful. I've always wished I could visit your shop - so many beautiful things inside. Thanks for popping in to see me and hope you're doing well.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Love your Yuccas Lynne...so pretty, and your nightly visitor is just beautiful. We haven't had much of a summer here yet. I'm still waiting for some summer sun and warm temps so my tomatoes grow. Thanks for your visit and I hope you have a great Sunday!

This is my first visit to your blog. Everything looks beautiful. I have always wished my flowers would bloom longer too, so I could keep enjoying their beauty. I'm glad I can at least take pictures to remember how pretty they looked after they have gone by.

Take Care!
