Carpet is installed and I'm up and running...

Girls... the carpet is installed and I'm up and running once again.. You really didn't think I could stay away did you? :-)) It was a walk in the park to turn everything back on again. I can' thank you enough for all the suggestions.
The carpet installer showed up first thing this morning and got started right away. He had to move several pieces of heavy furniture but had no problems maneuvering them up into a small area. Then the old was pulled up and the installation of new carpet began. This sample is not my carpet.. but I had to put a picture up right? Then I had to leave and head to work, this is one day I was sure hoping to be off. But alas, that was not to be. I was sure glad when 6 came and we could lock the doors and head home. Mr. P and the grandson met me the door. They couldn't wait for me to see the new carpet.. I'm telling you it looks fantastic. I feel like I've won the lottery. It still needs to be vacuumed and the furniture polished.. and that will come after bit. Had to make some supper , the grandsons lunch for school tomorrow .. and as Gloria said.. I had to have my popcorn..lol. I leave at the crack of dawn tomorrow to get the grandson back to school and have to work away from once again.. But let me tell ya, I'll be home all day on Wednesday, and you know what I'll be doing... :-) This has been a long process and I'm happy to report I'm almost at the end of the trail. The fun starts now.. Putting all my beloved things back in place and bringing out some of the old.. I know many of you are probably tired of hearing all about the ordeal I've gone through. I want you to know I appreciate every kind word you've sent my way and all the support. Now.. I'm really off to get some of that popcorn.. hugs ~lynne~

YAY!! I can't believe it really happened for you! It's 11:13 p.m. and I just finished putting the second coat of paint on the walls and the first coat of paint on the beadboard and shelf. The walls are dry enough we can move the washer and dryer back in so the kids have work clothes and we have whites and towels again. I have to move the washer and dryer out again tomorrow night though for the flooring people who come bright and early Wed.! I'm so excited to get to the end of this. I HATE TO PAINT! I'd just about rather do anything than that but I must admit it's turning out nicely. Larry has to rip up the rest of the Pergo tomorrow and remove the toilet while I get another coat of paint on and then put on the glaze (it's a surprise where)! All this with having to work my long day tomorrow at work. I'll probably get about three to four hours sleep by the time I drive Larry to work and do one load of laundry for Trav's work clothes so I can feel your pain about working tomorrow. Oh, forgot to add, Nicholas is having another upper endoscopy Wed. so Larry will have to handle things while the flooring people are here while I'm with Nicholas. Cindy P.S. Setting up my computer was easier than I thought. It took Nicholas seriously less than five minutes. I love the new flat screen! I love even better that I didn't pay for it but that my work did! LOL!

P.S. Again, I'm only on the computer so late bz Larry is in the shower getting ready for work and if I fall asleep I won't be awake enough to drive him in to work safely! I'm such a glutton for punishment.

Lynne, Thanks for coming by and checking on me. It felt good to know you were there to support me. I really do think I will be doing more tablescapes in the future. I picked up some China at Penney's It really goes well with some china I have that was my dh's grandmothers. Her china came from Japan. Larry's uncle was in the army and sent ti home to her years and years ago. I bought it on her auction after she passes away. How could anyone put in on auction??

Hooray, glad the wait is finally over and you can get back to NORMAL! I know after the Hurricane, we all felt miserable (thankful to be alive and well) without the necessities that we are used to. Sept. in LA without air conditioning can be miserable. Did you know candles give off a black soot? That humidity does ugly things to my hair? That even though there's not ever anything on tv, I sure did miss it. Anyway, I'm sooo happy for you!
