~ Dining Outdoors with Blue and White ~

We've had some of the most fabulous weather the last couple of days. It's just far to pretty to be inside. I know the heat of summer will be on us soon enough, I'm taking advantage of every beautiful moment I can outside.

Last week I gathered a few things together

for a small tablescape. It seems like forever since I've spent anytime with the dishes. I moved the table off the patio to sit in front of the fading Peonies. Late to bloom this year didn't detour their beauty, they were gorgeous.

Blue and white seemed the natural choice, don't you love the way they flow with the seat cushions? I recovered the out door cushions earlier this Spring. They've gone from black and white, to red and white and now my FAVORITE color combination blue and white.

Yes, Miss Scooter is a bit on the noisy side, checking out something at the edge of the table. Love my little assistant. The last few days she's like a child under my feet. It's been a wild week around here, animals sense when things aren't right, she's been a calming factor to me.

The solid blue and white dishes have been around for many years, I don't recall where I purchased them. The flatware is a Target purchase. The vintage blue and white by J&G Meakin pattern name Romantic England Chequers were purchased off EBay a couple of years ago. I recall the glasses were purchased from Wal-Mart and the cups I believe from The Dollar General Store.

The square bowls are from TJ MAXX a while back, flowers on one side.....

I couldn't decide on the centerpiece, I first started with the blue and white ceramic fish bowl planter filled with the remaining White Peonies, my garden gal joined the table adding another element to the table.
