~ Christmas Touches in the Dining Room ~

Happy 12-12-12
Once in a lifetime of dates.
A magical day full of
miracles and fun things.

The Christmas spirit has hit the house full on. Keep in mind I'm doing a lot less decorating than in years past. Sometimes my belief is less is more. I know, I know not my personality right? The last few months I've had a change of heart. Seeing too many things on one shelf or tabletop has made me dizzy. So, I've scaled back showcasing only my favs. ( We'll see how long this lasts. lol )
The dining room is a
very hard room to take pictures in. Either the sun isn't out, or pouring through the windows washing out the particular vignette I'm wanting to photograph. After taking these pictures I've critiqued it over and over again. I'm realizing the curtains have hung their for far too long. I'm needing change, a big change, we'll see if that comes to fusion after the holidays. But I digress...
The small black buffet was purchased quite a while back, the perfect size for the room and windows. This room took on more of a hunt/equestrian style about a year ago, you can view those pictures HERE. I'm sure you're wondering where's that style for the holidays, I'm not sure I can answer that one. Once I started pulling out the boxes it took on a life of it's own. If you would like to see the pheasant tree from last year you can go HERE. I have to say I miss the tree this year, but there will be many more times to put it up and enjoy. Mr. Murphy is keeping a close eye on me while I work around the room.

The green trees came from Hallmark many years ago. Not realizing it after I took a few pictures I have a theme going. The next post or two you'll see what I'm talking about. No folks, I didn't bring out the many many snowmen. lol

Lynne, this is such a sweet vignette! A lot of people have scaled back this year. And it's all good! Lol!!! This is really pretty!

Lynne, I love, love, love that Santa Clause!!! As always your home is just stunning! Warm, welcoming and lots to look at. However, you manage to get that touch of elegance that always, always eludes me.
Hugs!
