~ Shades of Brown for Thanksgiving ~

I've been so busy this past week time got away from me. I put together this tablescape on the fly this morning. I knew I wanted to use the brown-toned dishes with the berries, wasn't sure about the centerpiece. I've seen a lot of pumpkins being used as centerpieces this year. You know me I have to be a tad different. :-))
Starting with the brown tablecloth I built from there. I chose the wooden brown leaf chargers for the base of the brown toned leaf edged plates.
I am over the top with anything having to do with wildlife. Mr. P thinks I'm a bit more than touched in the head. lol. I've had these deer for a while, normally they reside in another room in the house. Once the tablescape started to come together they seem to fit in perfectly.
You might remember the acorn filled vase from this post HERE. I've enjoyed using it for the Fall decor, and looking forward to adding Christmas decor next weekend.
Shades of brown mercury glass votives sparkle across the table.

The flatware are pieces Mother had when I was at home.
Gold bubbled stemware for your drink of choice. These were purchased a few years back at Big Lots for a song and a prayer. Don't you love a bargain?

With the table set, I'll put on a small turkey, spiral ham, candied sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, fried green beans, sweet corn and rolls. For dessert I'll bake a blackberry pie, apple pie and a strawberry pie.
From our home to yours we wish you the most wonderful Thanksgiving day ever. Hug your loved ones tell them you love them, life is so short make each moment count.

I love those...sooo pretty! And...I think this is the first time that I've seen this pretty set of autumn dishes! They're gorgeous!!! Love the beautiful embossed autumn leaves and berries! It's a set that I would have purchased.

Well dear friend, thank you for sharing your beautiful table with us...sounds like you are going to have quite a feast! Sending you, Bill, and entire family...many blessings for a wonderful Thanksgiving!

OK...those have got to be some of the coolest dishes I have EVER seen!!! I love them!!! I must have them!!! Glad to see you jumping off the bandwagon to do the kind of centerpiece that speaks to you. I haven't used many (if any) pumpkins this year, although I probably will for Thanksgiving. My family is always wondering what I'm going to do for the Thanksgiving table. Just when they think they have me figured out...BLAM! I mess up their minds with something out of left field!!! So maybe NO pumpkins this year! :-)
