Officially Fall is a few weeks off, with our cool brisk mornings it feels like fall around here, a welcome change after the Summer heat we've had. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. Brisk cool mornings, gorgeous fall colors, the smell of pumpkin spice candles burning, and the yummy smell of apple pie baking in the oven. Until I can get to the apple orchard to pick up some fresh apples for baking and decorating with, these will have to do. :-))
The wooden handled edge shows wear and tear from the use over the years, if only those handles could talk the stories they could tell.

Stacked to perfection to show off their curvy edge...
Empty...
Or filled...
They're a great decorating tool. If you have dough bowls stored away, bring them out for fall, fill them with gourds, apples, pumpkins, or walnuts. The list goes on and on, let your imagination run wild.
Have you started your Fall decorating yet? Do you have a favorite piece you bring out each Fall? Is it something you've had for years, or is it something new? I'm looking forward to reading your comments and seeing your beautiful fall decorations.

Great pics Lynne!
I need one of those so bad!
Do you sell online?

Such a great post Lynne. I see the wooden dough bowls in the antique stores & I long for one. I really need to start the hunt for a "just the right price" one! We are enjoying the wonderful temps too here in MS after a weekend of "buckets of rain". I'm working on the fall stuff too. What better timing with the cooler weather. Have a great week.
Lynne, do you have dough bowls for sale??? I saw a HUGE one the other day in a store and it was $150.00!!!!! It was about 36 in. long probably though. I am itching to start decorating but am cleaning etc. Next week I will do it and I am so anxious!!! It is cool and raining here, very "fallish"! XO, Pinky
Like the apples in the bowl. It would be a good day to decorate a little for Fall here, as it is only in the low 70's today.
I love those old bowls and they are so hard to find. Have fun, Happy fall. I hop it is a long drawn out beautiful weather affair. Richard from My Old Historic House.
