And So It Begins.....

I know many of you are already fully decorated, others like myself are only just beginning. I always start our Christmas decorating Thanksgiving night. Just can't seem to bring myself to mix the two holidays together. Last year this small table held a snowman, with lanterns being so popular, this year I chose to use a lantern. I like the cozy welcoming feel as you walk up to the back door.

Inside a candle with a wee bit of faux snow screams welcome.

Can you believe the fern is still trying to survive? I'm sure after the cold temperatures we're due to have the next couple of days, it will have to be put to rest.

I love the top.

I fell in love with the simplicity of the black and white ribbon.

Yes, that's a bunny trying to hide from us. You didn't think I could possibly leave a bunny out of my holiday decorating did you? lol

I'm off to work in the shop and do a bit more decorating as the day allows. I'm looking forward to seeing all of your holiday decor. Until next time...

Hi Lynne!
Hopefully we're getting decorated after work today. If it doesn't get done today then it won't get done at all for sure. Last year we didn't even put one strand of lights on the trees and not even one ornament. There was no time with getting Travis off to the MTC for his mission. I'd like it all decked out this year but we'll see what I have the energy for and how much help I get!

I really like your vignette. I need to do a little decoration for my patio table, but then I need to get the decorating done on the inside also. I have 4 ferns still trying to hand in there, but since the temps are suppose to get down to 28 Tues. night - they won't be around much longer.
Have a great week.

Lynne, that lantern is so pretty, and the black and white bow is perfect on it. How sweet that the little bunny is peeking out from behind the lantern. Beautiful winter welcome. (I just began my Christmas decorating Friday). Took me all Thursday night to finish washing dishes & getting Fall decor put away. I'm afraid Christmas will be here before we know it. laurie
