Laundry Anyone?

We all have them, the "dreaded" laundry room. I for one love doing laundry, no, no don't beat me up! Just one of those quirky little things about my fun personality. lol

I've decorated the laundry room to make it more pleasant and have shared many parts of it with you before. I'm fortunate to have the front loading machines so the top is another one of those great decorating areas. Each fall I cover it with leaves and lights and some great faux gourds I've had for years. I've decorated it this way for a few years now, so next year I'm going to change it up a bit! Yes, I'm already planning for next years Fall season. lol

My love for roosters has spilled out from the kitchen into this room. I purchased this lamp many years ago and remains "one" of my favorites. :-)) I think he loves being all nestled among all the leaves, what do you think?

I tried to get a decent picture of the "orange" lights,(purchased at the Dollar General Store) but to no avail. :-(

If you're lucky enough to decorate your washer and dryer I say go for it. Bringing the fall into our homes with faux leaves, pumpkins and gourds can warm the soul on those cloudy rainy days. So... until next time

Hi Lynne! It's been too long, friend! How lovely your laundry room decor is. Question for yours a HE washer? Mine sounds like a jet plane taking off and everything would shake right off the top if I had it decorated like yours. I love that look and it would be so fun to have on top of the washer/dryer. Hope all is well. I'm in the final weeks of planning my daughter's wedding.

Thank you Lynne.

I was able to get my page back this morning...but I really like my new little nest at Typepad so as soon as I can I will try to get someone to move my archives etc to the new site. Until then and unless the Back Porch disappears again, the archives can be seen at the old site. I just won't be posting from there.

I love your laundry room...I am in a mood to paint mine. I think it's time. It might just be the pick me up I need right now.:-)

I like doing laundry too. I love the feel and smell of freshly laundered clothes, yeah people think I'm crazy, lol! Anyway, I have a friend who's always saying she'll do my dishes if I do her laundry. I'd take her up on it but I'm in Utah and she's in Texas! Love your decor, as usual!

I do like your laundry room decor. I don't have a laundry room as such to decorate. Just room for the washer and dryer to sit side by side and shelves above, and they are full. :)

I can't say that I love doing laundry, but I do decorate my laundry room and love for it to look pleasant to the eye..

Yours looks so pretty....better than mine.... I need to go and do some more work on mine.

Wow. . . the only thing on top of my dryer is folded laundry that needs to be put away...and dust!! :) You certainly make me want to spiff that room up! I love yours.

DId you make your trip to MC's open house? I know it must've been wonderful!

Thanks for your sweet words about my "running" efforts.....I JOG at this point. However, jogging isn't easy for me. I just finished a 28 min. jog. . . 3 min. more than the jogs from last week. Once I do that 2 more times over the next few days, I bump up the time to 30 min. The trick is trying to cover 3.1 mile in 30-35 min. Right now.....I'm not there!! That will be my next goal...increasing speed/distance during 30 min. We'll see. It's the biggest goal I've set for myself in a long time!

Have a great weekend! dana

Lynn, That is so pretty. My washing machine is a top loader so decorating it is out. You did give me an idea for the dryer. All of your decorations are beautiful!
