One Short Year Later

Welcome to Our Home

365 days have passed since I entered the world of blogging. I'm still in awe that I took that first leap. I remember that day a year ago, oh so well, I was literally scared to death. I questioned myself over and over again. I had started reading blogs about 8 months prior and was in such awe of all their subject matter and all of their wonderful pictures. After visiting with a few friends they suggested I take the leap. So, I took a shot of the sun porch, jumped in with both feet and as they say the rest is history. :-)) If only it went that smoothly. I remember counting to 10 more than one time before I hit Publish Post. If you would like to go back to see the beginning you can click here . I was so afraid that no one would stop and if they did they wouldn't leave a kind comment. You see, I was still feeling a bit burned from the Rate My Space days. Little did I know, that Blog land is a much kinder arena to be in.

I've learned so much about the computer and all of it's little personality flaws, (usually it's me and not the computer that has the flaws...lol). I've learned how to enlarge pictures, to move them around, to increase or decrease the font size. I've learned more than anything it takes about 20 pictures of the same subject matter to get it just right. lol Anyway it does for me. :-)) Some say I'm a bit on the particular side. lol And occasionally, one will get by and posted and it drives me insane. But, that my friends is life.

Throughout this past year I've met so many kind and generous hearted people. Those I'll call friends for the rest of my life. I still find myself learning new and fun things with the blog. I'm still meeting new friends and visiting their homes daily. I find myself in an arena full of friends. And for that I'm truly grateful. I'm grateful for you dear friends, for without you there would be no Lynnesgiftsfromtheheart. So my hat goes off to all of you and to your wonderful blogs.

From Bill and myself, we both thank you for swinging by daily leaving your sweet comments and continued prayers. You never fail to put a smile on our face and a song in our hearts. So, from this day forward we go up the roller coaster ride once again and onto new frontiers.
Just a short post it here:So, here are the rules my friends. Nothing to hard. Leave a comment on this post, and you get one entry, let me know if you are a follower and you get two entries, post it on your blog and link it back to me and you get a third entry. Be sure to let me know you've done so, so I can count that third important entry..lol See, not hard at all.. lol The winner will be revealed on Monday October 26th. Good luck to each and every one of you enter.
And a very big Thank You for stopping by each day and leaving me such wonderful comments. I read each and every one of them. I'm sure many have noticed it takes me awhile to get back over to your blogs, working 2 jobs doesn't leave alot of time for playing on here. But, I do get there. I thank you for your patience and understanding.

hugs ~lynne~

It's been such a pleasure to see your treasures and read your blogs. I'm so glad that you took that plunge into the world of blogging and I quite understand all the hesitation before hitting that publish button - because I still do it!

Congratulations on your first anniversary Lynne! I'm looking forward to reading your blog posts for many more years!

Lynne, why don't I remember seeing this room? I love the wood on the ceiling. As you've probably figured out I'm a big fan of wood, especially oak! I'm a follower and do enjoy reading your blog. I love the beautiful things you share, whether it be in words or things to look at. I do hope your husband is doing better. Don't worry about how often you get by my blog, you're always welcome! We're getting into my busy time of year too so I don't get around too much. It seems like when everyone else's lives calm down mine speeds up and vice versa, lol! I too got burned a few times on RMS and have to agree that this is a much kinder place to be! Take care dear friend!

Pat, my friend..thank you so much for being such a loyal follower each day. I had to drive home this evening in hard rain. It's really quite nice outside right now and feels like fall. Hard to believe they are calling for colder temps.. I wish you all the luck in the world with the give away..

Lynne, you brought back some memories for me with this well-written post. It is just so hard to believe we've been at this for a year. Who would ever have thought? I remember your first post well. Unfortunately, I also remember those RMS days. It's been such a roller coaster ride -- especially for you. I don't know how you've continued to blog with all you've had going on, but I am so glad that you have, because I love coming to visit your blog. There is always something beautiful here. love ya, laurie

Oh how I remember being afraid of blogging..a couple of bloggers urged me to do this after they purchased my birdies. I'm glad they did, I have such wonderful blogging friends. You are on my followers list and I will post your giveway on my blog today. I LOVE those plates!!

I read this post and was intrigued by the things you had learned over the first year of blogging. I don't know how to move pictures on blogger and that would be GREAT to know how to do. Would you share your knowledge with me? I hate to admit it but I am coming to my one year blogging start also and I am so far behind you and at least three or so bloggers that began when I did. I enjoy your blog and you have been sweet to comment on mine before.
