Once again it's Wednesday and that means Outdoor Wednesday. Hosted by Susan over at
http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/. Be sure to scoot on over for a full list of participants of great outdoor spaces. Thank you Susan for hosting another Outdoor Wednesday.

We live in small town U.S.A. quite a few miles from an ocean. But for some reason the water draws my daughter in like a magnet. She loves anything related to the ocean. She's visited many of the lighthouses and enjoys their beauty and history. Along the way her and the kids always manage to have a great time. Last summer my daugher and the grandchildren took a trip to Florida. These are a few of the random shots she sent back via the internet and her cell phone.
I can only imagine getting on a sailboat and sailing away... :-))

My Catie's name for this was Crooked River Light.

Bailey enjoying the aquarium full of octopus.

Storm clouds moving in didn't detour their fun..

Sandcastles were continued to be built..

Melanie our granddaugher and a friend that traveled with them enjoying the great ocean waves.

Be sure to check out the rest of the "great" Outdoor Wednesday posts over at

There is a magical draw to the ocean for me too. I only live about 10 miles or so from it and when I get too far inland everything just feels so different! I would love for your Bailey to see our Monterey Aquarium it is such a treat for our little ones. I've never been to Florida and it looks so beautiful. Thank-you for sharing and giving us a mini seaside vacation. Love, Cindy

Hi Lynne! What nice outdoor pictures of the beach! I have become a housemouse lately. Your photo's reminded me that I need to get out more often. I run to the store and back except on Sundays. Maybe Winter does that to people. I love every season but California is just too hot in the summer. Still...those pictures made it look inviting! :)
hugs,
Mona
Ahhhh spring/summer
Can't wait until they get here!
I love the beach pictures! Makes me wish I were there right now. We are not too far from the ocean, but I don't get down there near enough!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing those pictures. :D Jewel

Hi Lynne,
Thank you for sharing these pics. I love to visit the ocean but don't get to as often as I like. There is something so calming about sitting by water.
These are lasting memories that your daughter and her children will have, I know, I have memories of going with my parents to the ocean too.
Blessings,
Sue
Hi Lynne...we just watched a show on TV the other day about lighthouses around the world...it was so interestin to see how they function, but what a lonely life for the lighthouse keepers.. ;-) Bo
Well you are getting super warm Florida weather today. Great photos.
Roberta Anne
Looks like your daughter, grandson, and granddaughter had a wonderful vacation. Beaches are a neat place to experience nature. It's obvious that everyone was having a really good time.
The picture of the lighthouse reminded me of the lighthouse on Tybee Island, Georgia. The storm picture reminded me of Tybee also. We were there many years ago for a beach fireworks display on July 4th that got rained out by an incoming storm.
Thanks for sharing - looks like a fun trip.
Glenda
Maryrose, It is so nice to meet you. I wish I could thank you formally...Thanks for stopping by for a visit.. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures of the grandchildren on vacation.. I hope you have a super day.. hugs ~lynne~
Morning, Dear Lynne, I always love your visits! Thanks for all your compliments! You're the decorating Diva and I would love to just come and shop in your lovely home! Mother is doing better and I appreciate you asking. How's that little Scooter? We haven't seen him in a bit!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Yummy ocean shots!
We're in land too, and we love the ocean also. But we just like to sit and listen to the waves and watch out on the horizon and read and carve some. :-)
We're older and not into all the active things. But just to sit and enjoy... is wonderful. And we've not done so, in a long, long time. -sigh-

What great pictures. I love the ocean as well.
All of the photos are so fun to look at.
Glenda, thanks for the visit. I'm glad these pictures stirred up some memories for you. The kids had a great time.. I'm glad she takes the time to shoe them other parts of our great States..hugs ~lynne~
Oceans also call out to me .. it was easy to visit the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico from Orlando and now that I'm on the eastern side of the Cascades, I have to cross the mountain pass to get to the Pacific ~~ but you can bet I do every chance I have. Thanks for the great photos today.
That ocean looks wonderful and inviting!
As you know....I love the ocean too. These are great pics, I love Florida!
Those pics just scream summertime, Lynne. Thanks for sharing them. Makes me want to pack up and head to the beach.
"I can only imagine getting on a sailboat and sailing away..."
Me too *sigh* What great photos! Happy Outdoor Wednesday!
Oh Lynne,
I just read about your little black box. Sorry about his earky death.lol That was a lot of documents! I too have a few file cabinets which needs to find our own little gray box!
I hope your husband does well with his eye sight and hope he sees better than ever.
I Adore the Ocean and Loved the pictures. There is something so soothing about the gentle waves.
Good Luck and still waiting for the reveal:-)
Hi Lynne...I'm catching up! These beach photos are so lovely. And the lighting in that first one with the boat is stunning! The octopus photo is very clever too. :-) What a fun trip!
Aaahhhhhh! I feel a little more relaxed just looking at these pictures Lynne! I'm all for sailing off too! LOL L~
Beautiful Outdoor Wednesday post, Lynne! Even as an inlander, I am strangely drawn by the water. My ancester 6 times great g'pa Cader was a ships captain. Perhaps it's in my blood...although I'm not much of a boater...even if I did get out in the middle of Lakes Huron and Michigan for a lighthouse tour!!!
Tomarie.. Laura.. you are just the sweetest thing..right now I could really sail off anywhere. and darling I don't travel.. lol.. I was so excited to see you have a blog.. I hope to be able to leave comments there darling..
hugs ~lynne~
