Refresh Your Home With a Touch of Spring

For those of you that don't know. I own and operate a gift shop as well as working part time in another gift shop. Yes, I get to play with fun things all day long. :-) I'm often told I have the best job in the world. Most days I would have to agree.. lol I've had a few emails requesting some pictures of the new Spring merchandise. So, how about a virtual shopping trip today?
I've been busy moving every display in the shop. Getting in new merchandise and trying to get it displayed. There's still lots coming in so you'll have another chance to take a peak at a later time.. But for now... here we go.
As you enter you'll find a table with a bouquet of green grasses banked with candlesticks on one side and a great glass dome on the other side. See even carpet balls here. :-) Some of the finer designers call these orbs. I think I still prefer calling them carpet balls. lol
Most everyone loves candles and I'm no exception. You can also see the great lights with the sleeves you can change out for the seasons. The bottom shelves house candle warmers for those of you that have small children and don't want to worry about flames. Slip your candle into the warmer and let it do the work for you.

The perfect sign for all of us.. Follow your Heart....

A table full of white for those of you who love the shabby chic look.

Isn't the white ceramic urn gorgeous? In front you'll find the metal urn. I think a great compliment for each other.

The metal pitcher is for decorative use only, sure wouldn't want to drink anything out of it. Isn't the white metal rooster just the cutest little thing? (You can click on the picture for a close up of the darling lamp and it's bling).

A set of 3 heavy metal candle holders. Don't you love the scroll work on them?
You can see here I chose to put a leaf ball on one of them to shake things up a bit. :-)
Another display of goodies..Ahhhhhh something for the rooster lovers. A close up of the rooster. Don't you love his colors and attitude? He's painted on a wooden tray . A multi-function tray. You could hang him or put him in a wonderful plate holder. I think he would make quite a statement in any one's home.
And for those bunnies lovers. :-)
Laugh blocks to help you remember to laugh each day. Wouldn't they be great in a baby's nursery?
How about an Italian urn full of forsythia and some whimsical foliage? You can even throw in some Pansy's for good measure.
Apothecary jars are the most wonderful things I've run across in along time. Great decorative basics for any room. I chose to fill these with eggs. But I can see a birds nest as well as many other things. What do you see inside yours?
Mr. Grasshopper is out of a series of bunnies I've decided to carry this year. Isn't he great? Doesn't necessarily say Easter.. to me, right now it says
Spring. :-)
Mrs. Purpee' is all decked out in her finest. I wonder where she might be going? Wouldn't this look great in a bookshelf or on a kitchen counter? I love the saying.
This cute little couple is Mr. and Mrs. Petal.
Can you guess what this little cutie is?
Here's a little closer shot.. do you have it figured out yet?
Yes.. you have it.. Place card holders! Wouldn't they be darling on a tablescape? I'm sure in the future you'll see some of them on one of my tablescapes. :-)
I hope you aren't too exhausted or bored. And I hope you found a bit of inspiration from your shopping trip today. I hope you enjoyed yourself today as much as I enjoyed having you... hugs ~lynne~

Hi Lynne, ;)
I just loved everything! The whole entire shoppe looks so fresh and inviting.
I have to tell you my favorite item is the leaf ball.
That and the little stand that it's sitting on.
It is the prettiest thing I've seen in a long time.

Very nice post!
~Melissa :)

My hubby hung the topper for me tonight in the kitchen! It looks great!
I'll take a picture and email it to you if that's okay. :)

What a pretty shop. You really have some beautiful and unusual items in here. I love the metal urn and pitcher, and I spy some really nice clocks when I enlarge a couple of the photos. Lynne,
How did I miss that you have a store??? Or maybe i just forgot. (wouldn't be the first thin i forgot.) =0)
Thank you for sharing photos of it.
It looks like a wonderful place, with lots of room to display so many things. (sometimes i wish i had more room in mine, but then sometimes I'm glad i don't and have to keep it all up and filled. (that is from a hand crafter, and vintage finds person.) =0)

FYI - I am working on my bird nest table scape. I can't believe that someone took my nest place card holder idea, especially when i just though of it 3 days ago!! =0)
(oh, it's ok. Mine is different.

Blessings on your day.

I love it all, but I LOVE the bunnies. I try every year to get a new bunny to add to the group. Haven't found one yet this year, but I love the ones you showed. How nice to have such a selection of goodies to select from.

Lynne,
Just got your note.
I have 2 blogs, one for the store mainly, and one for life's lessons, mainly.
I don't know why or how people are sent to either one, but if you go to the profile page, it lists the other blog.
Forgot to mention when i visited your store a few minutes ago-love the bunnies, follow your heart sign, creamy display, and well, everything!!!!

Lynne,
I have been home for 10 days now with pain in my lower back. Had an MRI done last Thursday and doctor says I need steroid in the lower back. I hips hurt and the pain goes down my legs. I usually do excerises and I can come out of it. This time it didn't help.
I am going in the hospital on Monday for the injestion; thank goodness they will put me to sleep or semi-sleep with some happy juice. I hate to say " I am scared to death". Have a great week-end.

That little bird in the third picture reminds me that in the next few weeks the bluebirds will be house hunting. The males act as the scouts and then bring the females to inspect their choice and for the final approval. At least that has been my observation for the past few years.

The females are usually "setting" on the eggs before the cold weather is gone for the Winter. Last year we had two clutches of eggs laid in the bluebird house that I can see through the window over my kitchen sink. In order to raise two clutches in one season, they have to get an early start. When the males start house hunting that's my signal that Spring is nearly here.

I have always loved apothecary jars. When I was a little girl there was a tiny corner grocery store just down the street. All of the candy was behind a glass case or in tall apothecary jars. Ah...sweet memories. Your store looks wonderful.

BTW - I loved the idea in your previous post where you covered up your thermostat. Ingenious!

Hi Lynne! Oh my goodness! Talk about a treasure trove full of enticing treasures around every corner! I love it ALL, needless to say, and wish I could see the shop in real life. But since we can't all be there in person, this little virtual shopping spree was the next best thing...a real treat. I'm very partial to all of those bunnies, and the white pieces, but gosh, really and truly, its all beautiful. And you have such talent for putting together lovely vignettes. I can't wait to see the place card holders make their debut on Tablescape Tuesday (or is it Thursday now?!) :-)

Oh what beautiful things you have in your store. Its lovely. I would love to be browsing through there in person.
Now how is it you work part-time in another gift store?
The apocathy jars are so pretty with the balls in them...and everything is set up so cozy...
I made a bunny..well a few bunnies but one in particular I lengthened his feet like the one you have in the picture. I'll have to post on my Emily and Andy. *s*.

Its been such a nice visit.
