It's a Plaid Kind of Christmas Kitchen

Decorating the kitchen for the holidays seems to always begin with the hutch. I never tire of putting a bit of holiday cheer on its shelves.
Plaid has been the
theme around my home this year. Earlier this year I found this gorgeous tray at Nell Hill's, the theme flowed throughout my home. The small trees came from my large Christmas stash.

Not wanting to go overboard I added a few more trees and the darling snowman with children. It reminds me of my grandchildren.
The vintage styled tree was purchased a few years back. I needed a special something to hold the tree and chose the white porcelain urn.
The throw, I know yet another one was purchased this year from TJ Maxx which seems to be my go to store as of late. The colors are perfect in the kitchen, the plaid continues to flow. The large jar was filled with a spray of berries.
I'm having a ball decorating the counter of the new island. The large silver bowl took center stage filled with greenery and a few Christmas ornaments, finishing off the vignette with new blue candlesticks and a blue compote vase.

The other end of the island showcases a blue and white dish filled with orange clove ornaments. I've had the plaid candle for a few years. The small plaid tray filled with a few trees came from Nell Hills. My love for festive tea towels runs deep. I found this beauty at TJ Maxx this year.
Looking into the library I can view the lake beyond the windows on a daily.
I've been collecting the plates made by Better Homes & Garden for years now. This year they came out with the Studebaker topped with a Christmas tree.  I added the small Santa (from the shop) a vintage glass filled with candy canes and berry picks.

Thanks for swinging by to spend some time in the kitchen with me. I hope you're enjoying the process of getting ready for your loved ones this Holiday Season.

Fondly ~ Lynne ~
