Christmas in the Library

Decorating for the holidays is in full swing for many us. I finally started pulling mine out after Thanksgiving. My plan was to start a new tradition and begin before Thanksgiving, this year mishaps of one thing or another prevented that from happening. Is someone trying to tell me something?
I didn't pull out a lot this year, trying to keep things more on the simple side; the library formerly known as the dining room got a few touches.
Over the top for throws
I pulled out the buffalo check throws for the chairs. A chair isn't complete without a pillow. A few years back I purchased the Merry Christmas pillow from Pottery Barn at the end of the season for a great price. I have a weakness for pillows and have to rein myself in when I run across them.
The houndstooth checks with an inner trim of leather I sold in the shop many years ago. I snatched one for myself and that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The buffet got a small touch of holiday cheer. The tree was sold in the shop, small trees are another one of those Christmas items I have a weakness for. I have so many small trees, just can't seem to pass one up that speaks to me.
I've had the Santa for many years. Santa is a music box that plays Santa is Coming To Town, fitting huh? I love the way the dog sitting by Santa has it's sweet head turned like he's asking why is there another dog here. The cocker spaniel lying by the tree reminds me of my Miss Scooter.

That's all for the library this year, unless..... I find the small boxwood wreaths that I've hung on the glass doors. I've searched the Christmas room more times than I care to count and cannot locate them anywhere. Do you loose your favorite decorations because you redo your organization each year?

As always thanks for visiting I would love to hear from you in the comments below. You can keep up with me on Facebook or Instagram.
