Christmas in the Office

The month of November is behind us and December is in full swing. I had good intentions after the shops open house to get the house fully decorated for the holidays. I had planned to go all out and try to truly enjoy the season this year. My plans were changed ever so slightly when I was hit with some type of a bug. Not feeling good was certainly not on my agenda. Still not feeling 100%
I'm not one to give up and just give plugging along.
The upstairs
is as done as it's going to be this year. I just don't have it in me. I spend every day in the office so decided to add a touch here and there. This is the view that greets me each morning as I head to work.
The area is just to the side of the desk, I've created a small seating area.
The top of the 3 door book case is filled with vintage silver trees, greenery and Santa himself.

I've added a couple of throws and snowflake pillows I picked up from the Dollar General Store last year. Decorating doesn't have to be expensive. My love of pillows has grown into a full grown addiction, so I try to pick them up as inexpensively as I can.

After taking the pictures it dawned on me the chairs "have" to go. I would love to see a couple of cream colored chairs here. The wine colored chairs have served their purpose and need to find a new home. The cost of those chairs was "ZERO",  I don't think Santa has chairs on his list for me this year, hopefully soon. Goals are good things to have, new chairs for the office is among the long list of goals I have.
Have you started your decorating or are you finished? Along with the bug hitting me I'll share with you a few updates as to another reason I'm not loading the house up with Christmas decor.
My thoughts and prayers to all of those effected by the shootings in San Bernardino, something so sad and senseless to me.

Hi Lynne - tis the season for bugs, that's for sure. It looks like you powered through, though, and added a lot of Christmas beauty! I am in high gear trying to decorate - feeling behind at this point, lol! I hope to finish this weekend, but of course, I will be tweaking until take down day!! Hope you are feeling 100% soon. Jane

Sorry the bug got you. You have done a lot more decorating than I have - and a very pretty job of doing so. Mine is zero so. :-/
Have had medical appts.to deal with and more in the near future, so hoping I can dodge anyone that looks sick.

Lynne,

Your office looks beautiful and festive. I really think we have to make the spaces we spend the most time in the focal point of our decor, whether it's Christmas or summer or fall. It makes us happy. I've had a cold since October--seriously. It went away for awhile after three weeks and then came back worse the day after Thanksgiving. I spent a few days in bed miserable but then surprisingly felt so much better getting out and doing my shopping snd errands. Fresh air maybe? Yes, plug along after getting plenty of rest. Nothing wrong with that!

Happy Holidays, dear friend!

Hi Lynne! Hope you're feeling better by now! Your home looks beautiful all decked out for Christmas. Thank you for popping in to see me.
Thank you also for your concern for our little Carter. This nightmare is not over yet but we're taking it one day as a time and praying for her healing.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
