Greeting Your Trick or Treaters

This past week has been full
of more than one
challenges of life. For kicks
and grins to add
some fun and spice I
thought I would share how
I greeted my ghosts
and goblins in the past.
The world looks fabulous this time of year with all of it's beautiful Fall foliage. With it being the end of October it's time to think about guests coming on Halloween.
A few years back I went to

my first
Nell Hill's Fall Open House. I was blown away by her home and how gracious she was greeting each guest, trust me when I say there were a lot of them. One of the vignettes that caught my eye was right outside her screened in porch. I tried my best to fabricate the same idea inside my sun porch.
I gathered all the glass containers from around my home and added my own touches of Halloween folly to greet my trick or treaters.

It's funny looking back to see the plain wood walls, since have been painted a beautiful shade of green, thank goodness for the archives to go back for some reminiscing.

I found the wrapped bug suckers at Wal -Mart, I've looked this year for more, unfortunately couldn't find a one of them.

I know many of you are into more vintage looks with buckets and such. I wanted to share another idea for you to use. Grab the silver and glass ware. I think the only other thing I might have done is to add some cheese cloth and possibly and eye ball, mouse or possibly a skull. The sky is the limit. How will you be greeting your ghosts and goblins?

Fondly ~ Lynne ~

Hi Lynne! Oh, what a pretty set up with the candy! I love all of your sparkly glass and of course the candy looks delicious! I love seeing your sunporch and your sofa has always been one of my favorites.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I think this is lovely Lynne! I love the idea of the crystal and the silver tray with the candies. I like the mix of sizes and shapes of the glass and crystal. I bought some candy corn and kept nibbling on it so I hid it in the cupboard! I'm going to get out one of my crystal candy dishes and put the candy corn it it now. :-)

OH MY GOSH! Lynne, I LOVE that black stand with the silver tray on it. Stunning and so cute for Halloween. I 've never seen suckers like that...ever. How cute. Those darned bugs in the look almost too real!
I haven't gotten my candy corn yet..but I am going to do it tomorrow.
FOR sure! :)
