Touches of Fall in the Reading Room

I hope I've been missed just a wee bit.
I took a much needed get away to
the east coast, North Carolina
to be specific to see my daughter
and the grands. I took loads
of pictures and will be sharing
those as soon as I get back
in the full swing of things
around here.
Before
leaving I had started a bit
of fall decorating, this
year I began in the
dining room, keeping
things on the
light side.
I'm sharing a hint of the
way things are now, it
dawned on me I haven't
shared the dining
room in its updated
stage.
The small marble topped table
was brought up from the
office. I added the silver
urn with a Spode soup
dish. To finish the
vignette off I added
the vintage book with one
of my many magnifying
glasses.

I've had the silver pheasants for
a few years now, purchased
at Nell Hill's on a girl's day
out trip.
Thanks for stopping by
stayed tuned for the
updated dining room.

Fondly ~ Lynne ~

Oh I do love this! You have a knack for putting things together. The open book, mag. glass and blue cup are perfect together. Love the silver urn and pheasants. Good for you taking a break and visiting family! You're the 2nd person recently that went to the Carolinas!

Hi Lynne! Oh, what a beautiful vignette! I love that silver urn. Glad you had fun at your daughter's. We've been out of the country the last three weeks and I'm still trying to catch up! ;) Hope you're well.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Shelia, I cannot imagine traveling out of the country, I'm still trying to master the art of flying by myself. I know you're having a great time. fondly ~lynne~

Mona, you are too kind, the trip was fabulous, but there's no place like home. Sometimes your own cocoon is the best place to hide away in. fondly ~lynne~
