4th of July Red, White And Blue Vignette

Happy Independence Day
to you and yours.
Anyone that knows
me, knows I adore blue and white in my home. When I purchased the over sized blue and white bowl I knew I could use it in so many ways. Since Memorial Weekend it has graced the table with geraniums and flags scattered here and there.

The long runner was purchased almost 30 years ago in a small town north of us, made by the Amish women of Jamesport, Mo. I hadn't used it in many years, trying to mix the old, new and a tad of traditional the last couple of months has been a lot of fun. Don't be afraid to mix the flavors of decorating in your home. It's like adding an extra spice to a traditional recipe and giving it that wow factor.

With the quality of faux flowers today it's fun to add them to an area you're not fond of having water spots on.

My screen door with the antique Colonial Bread sign always makes my heart sing. It's a great entry into the pantry.

May you all have a wonderful Fourth of July celebration. Be safe with those fireworks, let the bbq's sing with wonderful smells of hot dogs, brats, steaks or the food of your choosing. What's on your bbq grill this year?  Sure hope you're making homemade ice cream.

Thanks so much for taking the time out of your busy fun-filled weekend to stop by for a visit.
Fondly ~ Lynne ~

No grilling this year --- no homemade ice cream either.:( Just nothing, really --- just a typical, regular Saturday here. But it's all good. Peace reigned. And that is always wonderful, right?

I love what you did with the lovely blue bowl. It's all so beautiful & cheery. It all looks fab with the yellow furniture behind it. Thanks for sharing, Lynne. Have a wonderful weekend.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the screen door to your pantry --- love it, love it, love it! Been wanting one myself. Hopefully very soon. Did you get a repro or is it original? Wish I'd know where to get one.

Sue, I'm glad you love the screen door. I know Mr. P thought I was a little on the crazy side for wanting to hang it. I picked it up I believe at Home Depot along with the frat work. I also have the old fashion hook for closure. It reminds me of my fondest childhood memories of going to my Grandma's as a child. Please share with me when you get yours. fondly ~lynne~
