Let's Go Shopping . . . A Virtual Tour of My Gift Shop

And yet another day of rain has hit our area. It's been raining since late Tuesday night, we've had lots of flooding, roads closed and a few water rescues. Last I heard we've had 11'' plus. The farmers met yesterday and were advised to get their equipment out of the bottoms. With all the rains Montana and other places up north have had it's expected to hit our area on or around the middle of the month. They say we're being set up for the same conditions we experienced in 1993. The flood of 1993 was devastating to our area. I pray their reports are wrong, I ask that you keep our area and others in your thoughts and prayers.

I've been asked by a few lately for a tour of the shop. I'm always excited to share what I do for a living. I love helping others add a cozy touch to their homes.
 Let me give you
a bit of history before we begin. I opened the shop 17 years ago this November. I traveled the circuit for 14 years before opening the shop pulling a 14' trailer full of crafts I spent a lot of time making. One day I decided it was time to come off the road and open the shop. At that time the only thing I ordered in from market was some lace products and a great candle line. Since then 99% comes from market. The only thing I make now are the runners, napkins and a few pillows. I'm so glad you popped in...... Please sign our guest book and let the tour begin.
Many of the display pieces are pieces I've had, the library table belonged to my Grandparents. Today I've displayed a vignette with a few of the picture frames I carry along with a beautiful lamp to coordinate with the frames and a gorgeous white cache pot filled bright tulips.
As you walk in you view the East side of the shop. You'll find a great selection of Cloche domes, books for displaying and hiding your remote controls etc. If you look closely under one of the Cloche domes you'll spot some of the great ribbon you'll find in the shop.
The fireplace mantel was one Mr. P brought home and rebuilt for me. It came out of an older stately home in Lexington. A few years back a lady that had lived in the house as a young adult came in and spotted the mantel and inquired about where I'd gotten it. She knew the house had been torn down and had wondered what had happened to some of the finer things in the home. She was pleased to know the mantel as well as an old screen door I have is loved and still around. I wasn't lucky enough to get the beautiful chandelier, I hope the folks that got it love it as much as I love my treasures. With a few round scalloped place mats topped off with a gorgeous lantern and daffodil's in burlap bags you can't think anything but happy.
Staffordshire dogs are a great way to add warmth to your home.  I've used them here as book ends. How would you use yours?

You know I love blue and white. The pitcher filled with bright colored flowers makes a statement on it's own, grouped with other pitchers and platters makes more of an impact.

Don't you love the bird prints in a vintage style frame?
More vintage wares, a great way to decorate those overly used laundry rooms. We all have to do laundry so why not make it a happy spot right?
A special area for those rooster lovers.
Everyone loves a bargain, I have a special room everyone hits first. The merchandise in this room changes daily, marked down 50% off it goes quickly.
The candle section.
I added jewelry late last Fall and it's been a great seller.
Scarves can change an out fit quickly and inexpensively.
Remember the buffets I bought for a song? You can view that post HERE. You can see they're not refinished "yet", I'm still not quite sure what finish they're going to get. Until then this beauty makes the perfect coffee station. I love the effect as you walk in the door. It truly makes the shop even more inviting.

Thanks so much for stopping in. I hope you enjoyed a few highlights of the shop. Be sure to like my pages to follow and  keep up with our new line of merchandise on Facebook HERE, and Instagram HERE. What did you like the most? I'm anxious to hear .
Fondly ~ Lynne ~

What a fun visit, Lynne! You have an amazing talent for styling tabletops. Everything is so inviting and pretty. The floods are frightening, and I had no idea that your area was under a threat. I will send up prayers.

Lynne,
Gorgeous shop, dear friend!!!
I adore that your shop is in the lower level and how you've disguised all the pipes, ducts and faucets!!!
(Reminds me of my Studio One!)
What did I like??? I adore it all!!!
Your merchandising and artful displays are extremely inviting!!!
To be more specific. . .frames, ribbons, cloches, the box under the Staffordshire dogs. . .
but the most exquisite item is the wreath at the front door!!!
Thank you for the virtual shopping trip. . .if only I lived closer!!!
I can assure you, I'd be a weekly client!!!
Much continued $uccess, dear one!!!

What a wonderful tour, Lynne! I enjoyed it so very much. I have only one regret --- and that is that I can't be there in person to shop! I want to walk through all of it and dream about what I want to buy and where I want to put it in my house!:)
I love, love, love your display pieces as much as the things on them. The Hoosier is my fave, but I also love the cupboard that has the large letters, T and E on the floor in front of it. Vintage is something I love a lot, so my eyes usually find those types of things pretty quickly in stores.
I love the apple green wall color behind your coffee station. Love the scarves, the jewelry, the fireplace mantel, the dishes, the dogs...............What's not to love in your store? It's wonderful! You have everything arranged so beautifully!
Oh, and I want to raid your bargain room --- yes, that would be great fun --- just to see what kinds of treasures I could score.:)
One day, if we ever come out your way --- your shop will be on my list of "places to go-things to see".
Thanks so much for doing the tour. It has been my pleasure to take a walk through.
I hope you are not getting more rain and can begin to have your area dry out a bit.
Have a wonderful week!

Hi Sweet Glenda, I so understand, I've been doing the same thing in my home. There is still a very long way to go, something daily goes out and isn't replaced. Thankfully others still love to shop and stop by. Hope this finds you doing well. fondly ~lynne~

You know the way the song goes Every storm runs out rain. we're sure do. Hope you have a super w/k . fondly ~lynne~

Ooh that was fun- thank you for the virtual tour! I love all your displays and would be a regular visitor to your shop if I was nearby! That fireplace mantel is lovely- and that's nice how that person got a chance to see what happened to it. I hope your area hasn't been hit too much harder with the rains. It's definitely starting off as a rather tough year for a lot of folks in the south.
