Making A Room Over With Fabrics - And Some Help Please

I hope all of you have had a super weekend. We've had a weekend of rain and more rain. Everything is a soggy mess around here. The ferns are loving all the humidity, my hair not so much. I'm ready for some sunny skies.
Well..... I am at it again folks. Tackling another room, well getting ready to tackle the room. We established a long time ago I dance to the beat of a different drum.
My original plan
for this room was more blue and white. Let's put it this way, this room is taking on a life of it's own.
When I saw the demijohn bottle on Decor Steals website I fell in love, I knew it work in this room. OK... the demijohn bottle is green not blue. But that would work right?  Blues and greens are perfect for each other.  But then....I take to my stash of florals and spot the soft green sprays, perfect for the demijohn bottle.
You see how this room is taking on a life of it's own? I've been wanting a buffalo check drape in my home for-everrrr... Enter the Country Curtain catalog comes, as well as my email alert. Horns sound angels sing, oh my goodness green and white buffalo check curtains. I'm telling you it was meant to be.
While shopping a while back I spotted these fabulous fabrics at Nell Hill's. Ringy dingy perfect. Again, the pattern of greens continue. I had purchased the blue and white quilt and the solid quilt with shams long before this, with the idea I was going strictly blue and white.

The print fabric has this fabulous urn to work around. I'll be making pillows out of it and the green and white stripe.
Here's a close up of the fabulous curtains. I painted the walls last week from a taupe color to this fabulous shade of gray. I know I'm way ahead of myself. I still haven't scrapped these ceilings, I do have a new light fixture for the ceiling in the back of my mind and have already purchased a new upholstered headboard. It is so dreamy looking. I would share with all of you, I've left it in the plastic so it doesn't get dirty and less things to move out of the room when I get ready to start the scrapping process.
Now.. I'm not too sure about using this quilt at the end of the bed, what do all of you think? It might be a nice mix and pull a bit of the blue out of the fabric with the urn and touches of green.
Next dilemma. I've had the dresser many many years. Quite a while back I stained it black. I think it's time for an update. I'm thinking of a creamy white, what do you think? Leave it black or paint?
When stained quite a while back I changed out the old hardware for these gorgeous crystal knobs. Pretty perfect huh?
I changed out the black lampshade, you can see it HERE. You can view the whole room in it's entirety as it once was. Oh my goodness..... this room is truly taking on a change.

So there you have my room as it's coming together. Let me know your thoughts about painting the dresser. I would sure appreciate it.

I love all that you have put together so far Lynne - beautiful fabrics and curtains. I like the black dresser, but the creamy white would be equally gorgeous. I think the black is more formal, where the white is more cottagey. Either one will be terrific! Looking forward to seeing what you decide. Jane

Oh i do love all of your fabrics and the check curtains. Gorgeous. I really like the dresser black, it is a great contrast, however the white could be pretty too. I am with you, not to sure about the quilt, you will have to give it a try when everything is done. It just might work, who knows.

My vote is for creamy white paint on your lovely dresser!

Great choices, Lynne. Blue and green is my favorite color combo. I would do the dresser in a nice creamy white chalk paint and very lightly distress around the edges only. Can't wait to see the completed room.
I am about sick of the rain we have been having, it looks like for the next 10 it'll be more of the same! I keep looking out the window expecting to see an ark.
Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.

Loving what you have done so far! The green is fabulous!
Well, I'm a "paint" person, which you already know from prior comments. The creamy white paint on the dresser would be dreamy! :) Matched exactly to the white in the curtains and using the same clear knobs? Perfect! (IMHO) :)
It's hard to say about using the quilt without seeing it all together with everything else when you are finished. I'm sure you will know when you see it all come together though.
Have fun in the process, Lynne!

Lynne,
Dear friend. . .you're on a roll!!!
This room is shaping up, quite nicely, indeed!!!
Love the demi~john with the floral!!!
Adore the drapery buffalo check and the paint hue!!!
I do like one black piece to ground a room. . .
however, I'd be interested to see the upholstery on your headboard.
I'm thinking that creamy white might be totally, dreamy within this room!!!
The Nell Hill fabric with the "urn" print combined with your lamp is absolutely stunning!!!
I'll be watching for a "Progress Report" and an upcoming reveal!!!
Have a wonderful week ahead!!!
Fondly,
Pat

Hi Miss Marigene, the jury is still out on what I'm going to do, each minute my mind takes another turn. Like you we're suppose to have more rain in the next few days. I barely got trimmed and mowed up before this last bunch moved in. I'm ready for some nice warm sunny days. fondly ~lynne~

Thanks so much Sweet Pat, I'm sure having a ball pulling it together. The headboard is a parchment color. I wanted to go with a neutral so bedding could be changed out easily. I hope you're having a super weekend. Things are drenched our way, hope you're a bit dryer over that way. fondly ~lynne~

How pretty, Lynne! The fabrics all work so beautifully together. I can't wait to see what you decide with the dresser. Either option would be nice. Love the color combo!

Lynne, I love the green! What a beautiful room! I think the dresser would look so cute in a lighter paint (although it does it look very nice now). You are definitely on a roll!

Happy Memorial Day.

Wow! Love the greens and all the fabrics work beautifully together! Maybe wait until everything is finished to decide on painting it or not. I've always heard every room needs a touch of black...either way would be nice.
Thanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!
Blessings,
