Finding Color in a Gray Colored Day

Another week has flown by. Another week of clouds and rain. Thankfully I got a 3 hour window to get the yard mowed up. Like everyone we're a little saturated and ready for some sun in our neck of the woods. We don't have it as bad as others, but come on enough is enough already. I'm still continue to pray for those in Texas and Oklahoma effected by all the flooding that has devastated their lives.
My small "court yard"
outside the back door is always a calming spot for the pup and I. This morning even with mist in the air I could see beauty climbing up the arbor.  The Jackmanii Clematis was planted about 15 years or so ago. Both sides at the same time, and in all these years I've never, ever seen it grow up equally on each side and meet at the top. I'm not sure if I planted one deeper than the other, or if I just have a stubborn clematis on the right side of the arbor. lol  What do you all think?

On the small table I try to put a brighter color plant to off set the dark area. This year I chose the red impatiens's and they are thriving - absolutely gorgeous. Miss Scooter and I set out here in the early evenings when the sun is still too hot on the front porch which is on the South side of the house.

It goes to show you even on a cloudy day you can find some brightness,  I hope you find something that makes you smile this weekend. Please join me on Sunday for the reveal of yet another change around my home. Any guesses?

Fondly ~ Lynne ~

Dear Lynne,
Gorgeous plantings, dear friend!!!
I'd say your Jackmanii Clematis has some different enzymes in the soil on one side.
However, it is breathtakingly beautiful!!!
I adore the honeysuckle beyond the Clematis, too!!!
The rain has slowed here on our side of the Prairie, too!!!
I'm lovin' the green, lush lawn. . .but was driven in by insects last night!!!
Have a wonderful weekend ahead!!!
Fondly,
Pat
P.S. Room reveal??? Hm~m`m. . .I chose the Guest Bedroom!!! (wink)

Gorgeous Clematis...I have 2 that never do well, period. They only ever have a few blossoms and the leaves are also sparse...they are at least -10 years old, maybe even older. With all the rain we have had this year, they have done better.
Enjoy the remainder of the weekend, Lynne.

The clematis is lovely. Maybe the one side gets more sun, rain, wind??? :)

A new reveal? Hmmm... I'm guessing the 2 pieces of furniture are re-done.

Oh, and since I can't be there in person, I would love to see a tour of your shop during this season sometime. Pretty please...:)

Good morning Miss Pat, We had mist off and on yesterday, hoping for dryer skies today and hopefully some sun. I'm missing sitting on the front porch due to all the dampness in the air...... good guess... but is it the right guess? fondly ~lynne~

Hi Miss Sue, good guess but is it the right guess? It's funny you ask about the shop I had thought Saturday it was time for a tour of the shop, I haven't shared it in quite sometime. I'll shoot for doing that by the end of the week. fondly ~lynne~

Beautiful! When it stays cloudy for an extended period of time, I have to make myself remember to appreciate the beauty that is out there. Your pictures are wonderful!
