As I was working around the house this morning it dawned me I should change up the centerpiece on the kitchen table. Since I have
quite a collection of dough bowls I turned to one of those for my inspiration.I gathered a couple of geranium bushes and added them to the dough bowl. Pretty simple so far huh?
Then I popped in a few of the small flags, I recall purchasing them at Walmart quite a while back. If your Walmart is out you might try the Dollar General or the Dollar Tree stores.
I chose to just lie the geranium bushes in the base of the dough bowl, sticking the flags into the thickness of the bushes. I could have added a bit of moss, but really I didn't see the need for it, the fullness of the bushes cover the inside of the dough bowl just fine.
The only thing missing is a large glass of lemonade, some homemade vanilla ice cream. Oh my I could go on and on. Do you have big plans for the 4th of July weekend?
As always thanks so much for stopping in and leaving your sweet comments.
Fondly ~ Lynne ~

Very Pretty! Simple but makes a big statement. No plans yet - waiting to hear what someone else is going to do.
Oh my, what a gorgeous and fabulous centerpiece for the patriotic holiday, sweet lady! Ok, I'll copy this next year, lol!

I did the same thing! Made July 4th center piece but it's on the front porch. Yours is gorgeous. I love Geraniums with anything and those work perfectly. Thank you for the idea. I must get out and see what I have. I haven't even opened my container of 4th goodies yet!
LOVELY Lynne!!
Big hugs...take care of yourself my friend!

Very, very beautiful and yet so simple! I love it when something comes together so easy.
Thanks for sharing.
It looks beautiful, Lynne. I love your dough bowl, and the geraniums, spilling over the sides, and flags standing in the air, make a beautiful combination. Have a great holiday weekend. I keep you in my prayers. laurie
