Do You Ever Have One of Those Nights?

Are you one of those that occasionally you just can't sleep? You can't turn your mind off of all the things you want to accomplish the next day? I know I am, sometimes my mind just won't shut off, there just aren't enough
hours in the day. I'm a pretty organized person, a list maker, mentally, on paper or the phone. I love checking off the items on the list only to discover I've added a dozen more.  I had one of those nights recently, wondering the rooms my mind racing instead of slowing down so I could sleep.
Recently I'd shuffled a few things around in the dining room. One of the corners got a much needed face lift. You know the one with the rabbit lamp on the black table? The one I said would probably always stay in this corner, along with the little black table, I've learned not to say those sorts of things. If you would like a reminder of that post you can view it HERE. Looking back, that corner was just a little "busy" for my tastes, funny how life changes the reasoning for how things were placed isn't it?
Not being able to sleep does have it's perks. With the Ralph Lauren lamp being on a timer, I noticed the beautiful shadows it cast upon the wall and my beloved rabbit picture.

It goes to show you, you never know when the lighting and objects are going to be just right for a photo opt.
Thanks for stopping in and sharing your sweet comments with me. I hope you have a fun filled weekend.
Fondly ~ Lynne ~

I really like the rabbit picture - pretty vignette.
Unfortunately, I have many sleepless nights now days. So much so, it is as if my days and night are trying to switch places.

I do that sleepless in Riverside thing WAY too often, Lynne. It's horrible. Night before last I didn't get to sleep until daylight. Miserable. I slept way late and missed the best part of the day. It's sort of upsetting, but not working anymore..keeps me from stressing about it so much. I always catch up. Last night I went to bed at six in the evening..got up at eight and went back to be at about 10:30 and sleep like a log! Right straight through.
The sleep habits of Mona Duffy. Never ask me the time...I will tell you how to make a clock. :):)
Like you, I just cannot turn my mind off...but in my case it's not only about what I want to accomplish, but I wander in the past..sometimes even get up and cry. It's grief over losing my daughter and I know that...and I know it will get better. Sometimes I think it has..but..then it hits me and I fall apart.
I hope we both can sleep tonight. Yes, I remember that corner and the bunny picture! You still have your shop, don't you? I loved it when you posted pictures of the interior! LOVED it!
Hugs,
Mona

Hi, Lynne! Yes, I have lots of those sleepless nights because my mind is racing a billion miles a minute. Had one of those last night, in fact. Unlike you, though, I'm way too lazy to get out of bed and wander around the house. Your late night roaming paid off, though!

What pretty photos you took, Lynne! And what a pretty vignette you created. I have sleepless nights, but I lay in bed and fight with the sleeplessness. I'd probably be better off getting up and roaming the house. I might even find pretty shadows to photograph, but I'd more likely find cobwebs! laurie
