~ Spring Time In Missouri ~

Thank you for all your heartfelt comments, I know I 

don't share a lot of my personal life and

feelings on this little blog, kind of an oxymoron isn't

it? Isn't that why we created our blogs? For fear

of rejection or criticism I'm still struggling with

the complete package of sharing, left over 

remnants of RMS days. Your uplifting words

and encouragement help knock those fears 

to the ground. I'm so thankful for your 

continued support and friendship.

The days are still a struggle the nights

are long and oh so quiet, each day

is still a test, sometimes I pass

others I fail miserably. But with the

Grace of God and His hand in

everything I do... slowly, ever

so slowly we move forward. 

Spring time in Missouri is always welcome after a long hard winter,  it seemed like it took forever for to come this year, finally blues skies slight winds and beautiful blossoms gather around the yard. Last weekend was a bumpy one, storms all around us, the tornado siren going off, me on the mower totally oblivious to how serious the situation truly was. Now, I noticed the clouds getting blacker by the second, but I was on a mission to finish the mowing. As I pulled the mower into the garage a little on the soaked side, the winds came with a vengeance along with heavy rain and hail. Thankfully, no damage in our area, for those that had damage and worse, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

The concrete bunny is hugged ever so tightly by Creeping Jenny. His small face seems to welcome the warmth of the color after the long hard winter.

Last summer while sprucing up the yard, I did a lot of heavy duty trimming, the snowball bush was one I took down almost 4 ft. I was so afraid I had thrown it into shock and stunted it's growth pattern. As you can see, not a lot of blooms, but blooms we have.

This is the result of the hard and heavy trimming. It was almost to the top of the lamppost. Give it a couple of years and it will be back to it's old self. See way over to the right of the picture? That my friends I'll save as a post for another day. :-) Just a wee bit of a tease....

Last weekend we had another storm go through leaving devastation in the small town of Orrick, Mo. about 10 miles from us. The school lost it's roof once again, lost in a previous tornado in January of 1967, 2 children lost their lives in that horrific tornado, fortunately there were no lives lost during the tornado of May 10th, 2014. I would ask that you keep them in your prayers as they pull together and put their lives back together.
