~Through A New Set Of Eyes ~

It's been a tumultuous last couple of months, trying to adjust to a house of one plus 2 dogs. The silence at times can become unbearable, when that happens the radio is turned up a little louder filling the air with the sound of music. The dogs and I are slowly adjusting getting our feet on solid ground.

With each passing day when little things crop up I falter a little less, becoming stronger. The journey is one of having new insights to life and all that it has to offer. I've discovered a softer side to myself, listening more to what others are saying, sometimes finding the things they're saying aren't quite so nice. People can be cruel at times, I over look them and their insensitivity and lack of understanding. I'm discovering people just don't know how to act around you or the proper things to say, sometimes they just don't need to say anything at all, silence can be golden.

So like the Spring of each year and it's long sleep from one of the roughest winter's in history, Miss Scooter, Murphy and myself are forging on slowly, making a new life heading for new adventures, as my daughter tells me a day at a time. I'll be sharing our life with all of you on the blog through a new set of eyes, I hope you'll continue to follow along.

I would like to thank all of you fellow bloggers for your cards, letters and support during this time in our lives. You put a song in my heart each day! The blogging community is one happy place to be, I'm so thankful to have each and everyone of you in my life on a daily basis.
Fondly ~ Lynne~

It's so good to see a post from you in my e-mail, Lynne.
The funny thing is that I was just thinking about you today and now I sign in to my e-mail and there you are! :) Amazing.
It's good to see you're out and about with your camera again. I love seeing your pictures.
Wishing the best for you, Miss Scooter and Murphy as you all adjust to the changes.

Oh Lynn, I am so glad that things are getting easier. Yes, people can be very mean, but those people you don't need. You have many many blogging friends that care about you very much. I know it's hard but it will get better. So take care of your self and the doggies and remember, we are here for you.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Mary

Lynne,
I agree, that people sometimes don't know what to say when trying to comfort another's pain.
Know that we, in The Land of Blog, care and wish you all of life's best.
I'm only a click away, if and when you need to talk, dear friend!!!
Fondly,
Pat

So glad to see you posting again, and sharing pics of the beautiful Spring blooms. I have been checking periodically to see if you had posted as my reading list does not always update.
Yes - many don't think before they speak, and need a filter.
Take care of yourself, and enjoy the weekend.

Lynne, I was so pleased to see a post from you. It is good to hear that you are getting stronger with time. It is a slow process but you are in my prayers. I will look forward to future post from you. People can be very harsh at times. We just try to ignore their remarks and go on. We find out who our true friends are in times like this.

Oh...my sweet, dear friend...I missed your last post and had no idea. I read it and I am stumbling through this with tears. Your eloquent words, your tribute to your love, your loss, your incredible loss. I so wish I were there to hold your hand, have a cup of tea together, listen to you share your memories and good times. I think it will be good for you to share when you feel up to it. 35 years...oh damn...life can be so good and so cruel.

Sending love to you and your babies. Take care my friend. I'm here for you, just send an email if you would like to "talk".

Higs and warm wishes,
Jane

Lynne, I didn't know. I went back and posted a comment. I'm sure you know I understand. Like you, I had the experience of people saying insensitive things but I don't think it was meant ...people just don't know what to do or say and sometimes they put their foot in their mouth. We just have to forgive and move on. As time goes by the pain gets softer..I was told that but didn't believe them..but here I am some 16 years later..and they were right. It's bearable now. I still cry..but I will never stop hurting and wishing him home again.
My love to you, Lynne. I was so happy to see you pop up in my email!
Take good care of yourself. We are all out here for you.

Take your time adjusting. There is no timetable for these deeply personal moments in life. The pictures are wonderful of the spring flowering (crab apple?) tree. I always feel such a great sense of renewal each spring seeing the beauty unfold. Take care, Liz

Adjusting is traveling a different road and sometimes it twists and winds in all directions. Take care, a new normal will emerge down this road. God Bless.

Somehow your posts haven't shown up on my blog roll for about a year; so I have missed news of your heart-wrenching year. My sympathies and prayers go out to you. I will look forward to new posts from you, and will be more diligent in checking if you are absent -- I'm sorry for that oversight. Take care, Sally

I'm so glad you are feeling a little bit stronger every day. I can't even begin to imagine how you feel. As for the cruelty in people, I guess it's just part of the package: unfortunately, a little bit of stupid is included in each box!

One step at a time and chin up, young person. You are loved.
