Year End Update, Happy Anniversary Wishes

I know it's been a while since I've posted, I thought I would share a quick update with all of you and ask for your prayers.

This past year has brought so many changes to our lives, so many surprises. Some of those surprises right out of the blue, gut punching. They say the Lord doesn't put more on your shoulders than you can handle, I'm wondering when is enough enough?

Along with many of you, finances are a huge concern around here, most importantly is my concern for Mr. P and his health. These past weeks we're spent in the hospital with him having many many tests, lots of blood drawn a couple of biopsies, only to be told he now has a very large and deep ulcer almost touching the pancreas the shock diagnosis is that he also has Renal Cell Carcinoma, that has spread to the lungs and lymph nodes. Has the man not endured enough with the Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, Congestive Heart and on and on?  The treatment process begins on January 3rd, another journey begins for us.

A FEW PAST AND PRESENT

SUMMER 2013
35 years ago today our journey began, lots of twist and turns along the way, they still continue. Although your little mind doesn't remember and your body is battling inside I'll remember for the both of us and help you fight the battle.

We're taking each day as it comes, I'll try to keep you updated as time and mood allows.
Fondly ~ Lynne ~

You have been on my heart for a long time now -- as soon as I noticed the absence of your blog in my inbox, I knew Mr. P must be having some difficulties. You and your family are in my prayers as you go through this difficult time. It may seem like it's just too much to handle, but the Lord is with you each step of the way. (I know this sounds cryptic.) Day by day, minute by minute.

I am so very sorry to hear that your husband has more health issues. I know how hard this is on you also. We faced some of the same things with my mother. Please take care of yourself. It can really wear you down. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Lynn, I'm so sorry you are going through this with Mr P. May you continue to stay strong. You have been through so much, not giving up, staying by his side. Please take care of your self, if you need a shoulder, I'm here. I think of you often.

Lynn, thank you for the update, I'm so sorry you are going through hard times. I never liked that statement "God won't give you more than you can take....." I remember saying it wasn't true back when I was going through a devastation. I think He does allow more, but we become stronger relying on Him. I don't know how non-believers can get through their hard times.

What you said about your husband is so sweet. You are a wonderful person, and pretty too!

Praying for you,

Katherine

Oh, good heavens, Lynne! Your husband has certainly had more than his share! I know this isn't easy for anyone...not him, not you, not your family. I appreciate and applaud your upbeat attitude, though. It can't be easy to get up every day with a smile on your face and hope in your heart. And on those days when you can't...not a problem. You're human. A very GOOD human at that.

God bless you guys. I'm hoping and praying that all goes well with the treatments that begin on Friday. Meanwhile, I wish you a Happy New Year and send you lot of love.
