An Americana Patio

I'm sure many of you are prepping for tomorrow's celebration. Plans for BBQ's, with hot dogs, hamburgers, coleslaw, the list of tasty foods goes on and on. We been hearing fireworks
go off in our area since the first of the month. Our small town set off their display last weekend, I could see it through the grove of trees, it was a sight of beauty, just not clear enough to take pictures to share with all of you. I can hardly believe it's the Fourth of July, can you? This year has truly flown by. For the first time in years the weather promises to cooperate and be letter perfect. This time last year the temperature was a sweltering 104 degrees. Tomorrow's forecast a high of 84 can we get a WOO-HOO!?
I haven't had a lot of time to really get a lot of decor out for the Fourth, it's been a crazy crazy week around here. I did however manage to put a few things out on the shop patio.
I've had the hat for a couple of years now, you can turn it upside down for a centerpiece without the flowers or right side up as I've done here. I wanted to add a bit more splash adding the flags gave the centerpiece a bit more presence.

Freshly watered the ferns are prettier than ever.
Looking towards the patio from the drive, the umbrella is up, all that is missing are the cool refreshing drinks and you.

The dog planter is new to the shop, they are the cutest thing. This little cutie can have multiple uses, for flowers, a pencil holder, I could go on and on. You know me I like to think out side the box, I chose to use it to hold some Americana napkins you can purchase inside the shop. What a great display for your holiday table.

                        Happy Fourth everyone!

Lynne, love to see white daisy flowers and the American flag.......so American! I have one of these adorable dog planters. I found it last year when I met a friend for a little get away out of town. I have flowers in mine, but I added a flag for the 4th. It makes me smile everytime I look its way. Happy 4th! ~ Sarah
