~ Vintage Shutters and Tulips ~

Rain, snow and sleet those are the words in our forecast for today, hard to believe yesterday I was mowing. What a difference a day makes. Right now the grass is so green and lush a few of those pesty yellow flowers have popped up here and there, you know the ones as a kid we use to blow on to see what magic they would perform. Dandelions the dreaded flower that takes the beauty right out of a yard. I see some weed and feed in my future. No complaints I love being outside, this year there's quite the "list of things to do" out and about in the yard.
I'm such a
sucker for white this year. While buying groceries these beautiful tulips called out for me to bring them home. Before I left the store I knew how I wanted to share them with all of you.

I've been looking for the longest time for an English Butter Slab that's in my budget line, still haven't found one of those, so while shopping the Williams Sonoma site last fall I ran across this beautiful tray, it caught my eye and I just couldn't get it off my mind. Before I talked myself out of it, I put in my basket and hit purchase.

Rhapsody in white.

It's obvious with the rains coming down I won't be working outside, while in the shop I'll be busy at the sewing machine trying to finish up a project or two for the front porch. I'm having a ball trying to pull this all together, The reveal, well that depends on Mother Nature.

Oh, Lynne...the tulips are gorgeous! I don't think my grocery store has ever had anything this nice! The whole vignette is beautiful and I love your new "fromage" dish!

We had a wonderful day yesterday weather wise, it's gloomy today and I haven't looked at the forecast! lol! Let's keep our fingers crossed that any bad weather comes and goes fast!

Jane

I want so badly to add outside patio curtains, pulled back, to my patio and front porch. So far I have been too intimidated. I am so curious to see if you are going to do something like that. I LOVE that you sew! I should get back into it...(I always say that!) :)
The white tulips are gorgeous. I cannot believe that it is still so cold with bad weather where you are.
Lynn..thank you SO much for your sweet comment on my blog. Thank you!!!

Beautiful photos - I love white - I find it very restful. I would take dandelions right now, though - we haven't even seen the grass yet :) Looking forward to your 'reveal'!

Lynne,
Your Rhapsody in white is in perfect harmony with your vignette, dear friend!!! Lovely!!!
I, too am enjoying the green that is creeping across the Prairie!!!
Now, if only Icould get those patio cushions up off the Guest Room floor and back onto the deck...I'd be singing a melody!!!
Have a wonderful weekend ahead!
Fondly,
Pat

Pretty white vignette and love the fromage tray as the anchor. Your shutters are a great background.

I stopped by because I just happened to be your "backdoor neighbor" at Tablescape Thursday. I am so glad I did. This is just so beautiful to me!
