~ St. Patrick's Day Tea ~

Hello everyone, I didn't realize I've been away for so long. It's been one of those weeks around here, everything hit at once and had to be attended to. Do you ever have one of those weeks? I hope you're having a stellar week.  Anyhoo..

Sunday while getting things together to begin the baking for the Spring Open House, I put together a table quickly before the cookies disappeared. St. Patty's day is just around the corner, greens were pulled from here and there.
I
thought it would be fun to put together a tea of sorts. We've had so many cloudy days in a row, a garden theme tea was the perfect choice. Pulled together quickly and effortlessly the table came together. I had to hurry to take advantage of what little sun we had to take these shots.

Thinking outside the box I'm using the cast iron urn holding the cookies as the centerpiece.
Mismatched spoons grace the garden floral napkins.

Cabbage plants flanks either side of the urn to soften the iron texture. Isn't Miss Birdie just the cutest? She's really hoping a few crumbs come her way.

Please help yourself to a cookie or two, there are plenty. I'm still busy trying to prepare the shop for the Spring Open House that begins this weekend. I'll have my camera handy to share a few of those highlights with you in the next few days.

Isn't it a shame that we have to rush around to catch a glimpse of sunlight these days??!?!?! I did the exact same thing, and it was really irritating! I would have to wait until the sun popped from behind the clouds, and that would usually only last for about a minute. Not a lot of photos can be taken in 60 seconds...if you're an amateur like me behind the camera! YOU, however, did a wonderful job! I'm so excited for your upcoming Spring Open House!!!!!!!! I'm looking forward to seeing what new goodies you have on parade! You should have nice weather for it, I think, depending on slowly the warm front moves through. I think we're expected to get up to around 77 or so on Friday here!!! Have fun with it all, and make lots of money! :-)

Loved the way you used your urn for a cake stand and it fit in so well with the idea of a tea. What a wonderful display. Thanks so much.

What a lovely table...the use of an urn as the base for a pedestal is such a great idea.

Yes, Miss Birdie is very sweet, so plump and cheery, but I think she has her eye on that yummy cookie! I have been having light issues too for my photos, with all the gray skies and snowy days, but your pictures look great. Linda
