~ White Out Conditions ~

What a gorgeous site the East tree line makes with all the snow we received this go around. It's a pretty snow, more so than the last one we had. However a more dangerous snow. We
were awakened this morning around 4 a.m. with every smoke alarm in the house going off. Let me tell you that brings you right out of your bed with a start and a scare. Wired direct with a battery back up I'm assuming they were going off due to the light outage. I pulled all the batteries and walked the house with a flash light trying to find anything else that could be array, finding nothing this gal went back to bed for a couple of hours.
Looking out the bathroom door towards the hot tub located on the East side of the house.

White out conditions took over for awhile.

I stepped outside the shop door just long enough to snap a couple of pictures. Folks let me tell you the wind is cold and bitter, didn't take me long to get myself back inside where it's toasty warm.

After a couple of hours of heavy snow fall the skies lightened a bit to leave this beautiful site, now as I put this post together snowflakes are falling again, large beautiful flakes.

It's a reunion of sorts.
The lamp post in the front yard makes a beautiful still life shot. I can only imagine the glow it will provide this evening on the blanket of fresh snow.
JOINING:
OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY
I don't mean to keep repeating myself, but as I would tell my daughter each time she would leave the house, if you have to get out please be careful. If only my Bailey still lived here in Missouri he would be having a ball with all of this snow, his mother on the other hand says we can keep all the snow in Missouri, they'll take North Carolina's weather any day.

The photos are beautiful. Thank you for braving the elements to capture and share the landscape. That said, glad it is in your yard and not mine!

We are nowhere near spring here in northern Minnesota. We did miss this snow storm though.

Oh, my! It's difficult for this Texan to relate to all this snow. It's pretty, but I'll take our mild Texas winters.
Thanks for sharing the beauty. '-)

It looks much the same here in southern Iowa. I love looking out at the snow but am glad I don't have to go out in it. Oh, except for yesterday when I braved the elements for a hair appointment, couldn't miss that!

Beautiful photos - so much interesting details in your backyard :) At least if it's going to snow, you may as well enjoy the scenery.
