~ Happy New Year 2013 ~

Happy New Year!! I hope this year brings you all that you desire. Do you begin your year with resolutions? Promises to yourself? I heard on the radio this morning the top 5 resolutions and the time span they last, most fail in the first week.  Most start off with a bang and before we know it, the resolutions have flown out the window.

The end of the year and the beginning
of the New Year is a time for us to look back on the past years events and more importantly look forward to what the New Year has in store for us. Time to start making changes trying to follow through with the goals we set.
I have a few goals in mind, some are obtainable, others are sheer dreams, dreams I've had for many years. Those dreams go into the some day category.
One of my goals is to bake more and share what I bake along with the recipes. Do you do a lot of baking, take pictures and let them fall into the deep cavern walls of the archives of your computer?

Most of you know although I own and operate my own gift shop Nell Hill's is one of my favorite shops of all time to visit. I haven't been in almost a year, I know can you believe it? I live within 50 miles go by the exit every 3 months when I take Mr. P to the doctor and haven't stopped in? Me either. Guess you could say I've been a very good girl, kept my money in my pocket and just kept dreaming. I keep up through her blog and check in occasionally with Janet, the gal that answers the phone. Mary Carol has a great staff of people, always so helpful and friendly. Goodness gracious you would think I'm a walking advertisement for Mary Carol, not so; I just love her shop.
Even as hot as last summer was, I completed a few projects. As you can see from the picture they were way pass due, you'll see some of those this year.
Another goal is to get this pantry more organized and kept that way. I must confess I'm the only person that goes in and out of the pantry, so I can't blame Mr. P, fairies or anyone else for the unsightly mess.
I hope to work more gardening into my schedule.

The bright green grass and happy red flowers always make me smile when I'm sitting out on the back patio.
My largest and most important goal for 2013 is to grow the shop. Too add a lot more of the every day product line the gals have been asking for. This past year brought a lot of changes to the shop. It's more modern, brighter and appears larger to those that walk in. I've added new product lines with more to come. I have the best clientele in town and beyond.  I'm so truly grateful they love what I do and are so generous with their kind compliments.
Thanks so much for stopping in today to see what I have planned for 2013. I hope you'll continue the journey with me as I open up and share more of my home as well as what's going on with our personal lives. This past year offered up quite a few challenges for us, keeping fingers crossed this next year runs a little smoother.
From our home to yours
We wish you all
The Best in
2013
Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year Lynne! I don't do as much baking as I used to. I was just thinking the other day I should do some new recipes and get adventuresome in the kitchen.:-)
