How's everyone doing today? I've been busy busy around here. I've gotten all of the Christmas in the shop put away, (still a few pieces left on the markdown table) or so I thought. Until.. I walked outside yesterday with a customer and realized the outside Christmas is still everywhere. So, with rain in the forecast that was the first thing on the agenda when I opened. Do you have "all" of your Christmas put away? I'm personally glad to see it put away for another year.
I've been trying to stickto my list of things I really want to tackle during the month of January. I say this every year, some get done others just stay on that ever growing list. One of the things on the list was to play with my dishes more this year. So, on Sunday I started pulling elements together. While cleaning the hutch a light bulb went off. The black and white Staffordshire dogs would become the center piece and I would build from there.
A burly basket for the charger to add another texture and interest.

Maiden Hair Fern in a beautiful cream urn for the needed burst of warmth to the table.
Searching through the drawer that houses the napkin rings I ran across the pearl set, pearls always add a bit of class to a more casual napkin.

I close today with the sun shining across the table. I'm off to play in the shop with NEW merchandise that rolled in yesterday. I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Oh my goodness, I love the black and white and the check looks great with the pearls. That urn is fantastic. You really did put together a gorgeous tablescape. I need to work on a new one. Thanks for the inspiration. Hugs, Marty
lynn, now you know this is favorite of mine. All the black and white. So pretty!
Pretty - I have always like the black and white combination. The Staffordshire is a perfect focal point.
Lynne, Your table is lovely with black and white. It especially looks good with the checks and of course, the staffordshires and pearls.
My Christmas is all put away. The house looks rather empty.
Happy new year to you.
Lynne, I love the black and white tablescape! You have pulled all of the elements together beautifully!
You know I love this table Lynne. Would love to have those dogs. Beautiful table!
Lynn, your table is so pretty. I love the rustic chargers and the maiden hair fern is perfect as the centerpiece.
I love the dog figurines and they tie in beautifully with your table setting.
ooh pearls.. so wonderful with the stafforshire pups.. Classy and fun. The check napkins are perfect on this table.. I just love the textures and the theme.. Looking forward to a fun 2013 at your tables.. xo marlis
Love your black and white table, very pretty. Also love love the dogs.
What a delightful table, Lynne. Love the centerpiece...it is so nice to see something not to do with Christmas, for a change!
Your table looks really beautiful. Love the black and white.
What a sweet table this is! I love it, and love the touch of the doggies, black and white, with the dishes. I agree with you--pearls ALWAYS add a touch of class, whether at the table or around our necks, on our ears, wrists, or fingers! :) I need pearl napkin rings.... :) ~Zuni
The centerpiece is perfect. You created a gorgeous centerpiece but of course you are the queen of vignettes. I love the baskets and the mix of dishes. Very beautiful table, Lynne!..Christine
Just lovely, Lynne! I love that you used your Staffordshire dogs as the starting point and as part of your centerpiece. Love all your dishes; the cream ones especially since I have them, too. : )
Lynne, I love your table. I am shopping right away for some pearl napkin rings. Yours are stunning. I like how you used the juxtaposition of textures in your tablescape. Your photos are very good. I like this tablescape and I would count it as one of the top ones I remember you doing.
Beautiful!!
Lynne,
Love the Black, White and Green of this tablescape!!! Your black & white check napkins look elegant wrapped in the pearl napkin rings!!!
I had to laugh about walking out of doors only to find more Christmas that had escaped being put away. EnJOYing dinner with "Mr. Ed" the other night...there was a Gingerbread couple adorning tea towels that had been left out on display!!! They are now at home in the lower level until next Christmas season!!!
I did make a few after ~ Christmas purchases that are awaiting placement in the stroage bins...and I think (hope) that's it!!! Ha!
When I worked in the Antique / Gift shop here, I had always tried to get the owner to do tablescapes. We would do a place setting...but never a full table. I love seeing it all put together for customers when Shop owners display every detail and element!!! Now that I'm retired...I do more tablescapes that I ever post...such a joy!
Thank you for sharing your talents with us!!!
Much success in 2013!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Hi Lynne,
I really do drool to your bowls. They are so gorgeous. I adore the touch of shabby chic (I am Chubby Chieque, LoL*).
Very simple yet elegant. Love it.

Lynne it's been awhile since I've visited and have missed you. Everything you put your hand to is LOVELY! I'm off to read some more. :)
Gorgeous table setting. I love Staffordshire dogs and that was a clever idea to use them on your table. Everything looks beautiful together.
Great table! I love the dogs -- such cute faces. Black and white together cannot be topped for a sophisticated graphic statement. You have warmed it up so well with the organic elements.
Oh Lynne..... so beautiful!!! I want the dog!!! Is it for sale???
I had a tiny tree decorated this year and I actually picked it up and put it in my walk in closet....never thought I'd do that..... Oh well.
Think of you all often!
Hugs,
Every time I see Staffordshire, I think of the movie "War of the Roses"!!! Thank goodness you're not fussing with anyone who would destroy yours!!! I love the black and white for this time of the year. After all that Christmas color & glitz, it's nice to get back to neutrals. The green of the plant really looks great alongside it. It's just the shot of color needed without going overboard. I finally got the last of my inside Christmas stuff put up yesterday, and Ramon came home and took down the outside lights. Done for another year...or 10-1/2 months! :-) The fog has moved in pretty heavy here. I suspect it's headed your way if it hasn't made it there already. Be careful out there, and enjoy your weekend!
I love the black and white theme! The dogs were a perfect choice. Glad you decided to play, I love it!
Hugs,
Patti
I love this black and while toile with the pearls! The doggies are cute too. Hope you have a great weekend!
I love your black and white dishes, and the dogs are spectacular. It reminds me of a book that I read where a woman wanted to rent a house for a time, and she was thrilled when the owner left her ceramic dogs flaking the fireplace. Love the pearl nakin rings too. Joni
Lynne, I'm finally able to read your posts again. For some reason I haven't been successful about opening your post without something wanting to download on my computer. Now it just says it's not supported.
Anyway, I'm thrilled to see your black and white table. Of course you knew I would. Love the addition of the Staffordshire dogs. I don't have any in black and white, but now I see that I must find some. ;-)
Thanks for sharing this beautiful table. ~ Sarah
Lynne, this is a beautiful setting!!! I love the combo, love the chargers!!! The pearl n. rings add the perfect amount of bling! I have ONE thing left to d to get ALL of the Christmas away. I feel like I am moving slower than ever this year:( XO, pinky
Love this, so many great textures!
