~ Before Everything Goes Red ~

It's been quite a while since I've posted. There has been so much going on around here I just haven't had the 'ump to put a post together. I haven't visited any of you in so very long, guess this is where the term "bad blogger" comes into play. I discovered a long time ago sometimes I'm much better off keeping to myself. Although sharing our homes and lives is what many of our blogs are about, I'm reluctant to share some of the personal things going on around here. I'm just not ready to open up, I admire those of you that do. My only request is for you to keep me in your thoughts, when the time is right I'll share and share it all, right now just isn't that time.

Before Halloween I had such a burst of energy, my creative mind was in over load. Yesterday I began the daunting task of taking all of that down along with most of the fall decor to get ready for the Christmas decor. I can hardly believe it's just a few short weeks away. Have you already started your Christmas decorating or do you wait until after Thanksgiving?

The end of the counter is one of my go to key spots for adding holiday decor. My dough bowl has been one of my favorite tools to use for decorating this past year. Filled with pumpkins, gourds and a bit of bittersweet the beautiful patina takes on a life of it's own.

The shimmer and sheen of mercury glass along with crystal takes it from plain to having an ah-ha moment.

Yes, I still have peanut butter kisses in the glass jars, I'm working slowly to get rid of them, my hips aren't loving the way that's going, but a person can't waste candy can they?

I thank each and everyone of you
who have emailed to check in
your kind words and thoughts
mean the world.
I encourage everyone
to find what makes
you happy and useful
Embrace it and
make it work
for you.
Until next time....
Hugs ~ Lynne ~

Lynne...I wish you all the best in what you are going through right now. We all have issues that are better left off of our blogs, who needs to make everything public? I will keep you in my thoughts.

I love your dough bowl...it shouts fall! I love decorating mine, too. And I have all of my fall stuff out, too. Give yourself more time to enjoy it! :)

XO,
Jane

Lynn , I will keep you and your needs in my prayers. Its okay to be a private person.
I have started decorating some for Christmas , it has been scattered, although I have my kitchen fully decorated.

Love the dough bowl with all the Fall harvest. I have had more than my share of the Halloween candy this year. :(
Sorry things are not running smoothly. (((hugs))). I am amazed at some of the things some bloggers are so open about for the world to read.
Lots goes on here also that I do not share with the world to read about, and the older I get the more private I have become.
Lynne - Take care.

You have lots of fall pretties! I won't start Christmas decorating until after Thanksgiving. It takes me a long time to get it done.

I've slowed down a lot with my blogging. The blogger world is just getting way too big to even begin to keep up.

May God be with you as you go through your trials.

Prayerfully,

Katherine

Lynne I'm so with you with the sharing of personal stuff, but I really do admire the bloggers who can share their personal lives and get some much needed support. You share what you need to when the time is right for you. I'll keep you in my prayers.
I love your dough bowl. It really is a perfect accessory to any season.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Lynne. Vanna

Lynne, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Sometimes, you just have to go thru things on your own; and deal with it in your own way. I pray that you and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Lynn, to share or not to share is the question most of us deal with all the time. I've shared personal things before because I didn't want to be seen as shallow and only all about "stuff". Then I worried when I did share more as being seen as too personal. LOL! Finally, I realized people who are reading your blog are going to make a judgement about you based on many factors that may or may not have anything to do with you and there isn't a darn thing you can you do about it. I ended up deciding I would rather just be me which sometimes shares a little more personal and am happy for the kind comments of others who come along to offer support. Though I completely understand and respect that others may not feel the same. I am sorry to hear you are going through some things right now and will keep you in my prayers. God knows what to direct my prayers for you about and that's all that matters. Take care and Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Dearest Lynne...I am sorry to say that I didn't know you were not blogging because I have been MIA also. Same thing, lots going on that I cannot share publicly..and doubt I ever will. You are right..some have but that's never been to my benefit to be that open. I have, however, shared a bit privately with a few bloggers that I have gotten to know a bit more intimately than others.
I tend to blurt out what is bothering me and then regret it. Hugely! :)
So...about Christmas. Since I am having a part of my famiy here for Thanksgiving, I leave out the Fall leaves and pumpkins until the a day or two after Thanksgiving.
Then it takes me at least a week or more to get up Christmas. Every year I say I am not going to put all of that stuff out and then get inspired by people like YOU..LOL..and out it all comes.

Whatever is keeping you upset or unhappy, know you are not alone. It doesn't matter what it is...some of us out here have experienced it..including your need for privacy.

I have never gotten exactly what sort of blog I have. At first I thought I could be totally open..then it slowly dawned on me that blogging is extremely public..and not everyone is nice. Thankfully 99% are! It's a lovely world, bloggers world.
Take good care, my friend.

Only you now what is rght for you to share and when to do that. I am praying for you. I am frustrated because this is the first year I am not having Thanbksgiving here and could be done decorating for Christmas but we are having guests here tomorrow to see the house for the first time so I didn't want to be in the middle of the decorating. I will start tomorrow night:):) I wish I were closer to help you out. Is there ANYTHING I can do from here???? Just say the word. I hope you have a good day. XO

I will be thinking of you Lynne. I haven't posted much lately either nor visited. Not because I didn't want to but life can get overwhelming. Yes, it does take some ump and sometimes we are out and doing MANY other things.

I love your dough bowl very much. It looks lovely.

Your post title is neat. No, I do not start decorating until Thanksgiving is over. I enjoy it too much and am tired from enjoying it to begin right away with Christmas. I wish we wouldn't rush so much.
You are so sweet, I am sorry you are going through something right now. All your blogging friends care.

I hope you are ok, Lynne. I will offer some prayers for you. Your vignettes are really pretty, as usual. I mentioned you in my post about my Christmas decor when I showed my snowman that I bought from you. You take care, ok?.....Christine
