~ In the Shadows ~

If you're a long time visitor you know I have many passions, some may say far too many. If it weren't for the passions we have in life it would become very boring. One of those passions is my love for dishes. If you don't see them on a tabletop you'll find them on the wall.
I love having a nice size laundry room, it acts as the back foyer and gets a lot of traffic. If I could change anything I would try to figure out how to put a window in. That thought is only a dream, so please excuse the dark pictures.

If you want an obsession to grow you feed it right? Last year for my birthday daughter and grandson gave me these darling blue and white pitchers. They're small in size about 4", but pack a big bang in the Larkin's desk.

You don't usually see Miss Scooter join me when I'm shooting pictures, the last few days she's been on my heels. Animals are sometimes are saving grace through out our days events. Calming in nature, ever loving us for who we are. Miss Scooter nicknamed "the Queen of the house" has been a joy to have around the past 7 years.
Hmmm, think she might be a little fed up with all of this.
My wall is a work in progress. The plates were purchased from Nancy's shop off Etsy. We visited back and forth for quite a while putting together this combination, she is one of the most patient and helpful people I know. I've revisited the shop a couple of times for a few more pieces for another area of the home. After looking at the pictures a light bulb went off, I think I need to add some ironstone pieces to the Larkin's desk, and naturally a few more plates to the collection on the wall. It will help lighten up the corner just a bit. I'm in no hurry to complete the process, after all the fun is in the chase of finding just the right piece.
Thank you for stopping in to say hello. Your sweet comments always touch our hearts. It is because of you I do what I do. Until next time...Pin It

Hi Lynne...you have a wonderful passion. I have a few myself! I have always said it's the little things. Well I was not the first to say it, but I love to coin the phrase.

Love your new brown transferware, and your desk, all decked out in pretties, looks wonderful. I would never guess it was in the laundry room. laurie
