~ All Nestled In ~

A few weeks back while waiting on some girlfriends to come for a long over due visit, I grabbed my camera and started shooting. The brick planter box was added quite a while ago to help hide the railroad ties as well as for decorative purposes. In my quest for getting greenery going right away I pulled vinca vine from the backyard and transplanted. Well, I thought I was one smart cookie, it's fast growing so I knew all the dirt and muck would be covered quickly, that was the only goal I had at the time. I failed to remember it's very invasive, so much so it's killed out all the beautiful mums and a few other things I had planted. I've pulled, I've weed-eated it down to the nubbins. Except for spraying weed killer I'm not quite sure how to get rid of it, so I'm dealing with the beauty of the greenery small purple flowers in the spring, and pulling, pulling and pulling.
The concrete rooster has with stood the test of time for many years now.
A little weathered, but still stately.

You knew my best bud Murphy would be along for the photo shoot. He is just the best dog ever.
I can't help but admire the sweet bloom each year, even though I know I'm going to be pulling tons of this stuff out in a week or so.
You might think this was farm lot of sorts with all the farm animals scattered here and there. For a time I carried a few outside lawn ornaments in the shop. The metal sheep touched my heart and I "had" to hang onto a set of them.
The rusty patina only adds to his character. Right?
It won't be long and he'll be completely hidden if I don't get busy pulling the vine out from around him, he appears almost shy doesn't he?
With all the yard work as well as inside work to be done I feel almost over whelmed at times. The small rock nestled in the wheelbarrow (that desperately) needs to be attended to reminded me "Patience Miss Lynne".

Stately...
Mutt and Jeff fooling around???
Say hello to Bernita and grandson Leonard. Look at those smiles, a lot of pride going on here. Bernita a long time friend, baked our wedding cake almost 34 years ago. Always fun to catch up when she stops by.
Thanks for stopping in to say hello. Your sweet comments always touch our hearts.
Until next time...Pin It

Hi Lynne! Everything is looking so pretty and lush! I don't know if it would help but I heard you can use straight vinegar from a spray bottle and it will kill the unwanteds!
Enjoyed your garden tour.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

The vinca is pretty and I never knew it could be invasive. I have the perfect spot between mine and my neighbors yard! lol!

Love all your pretty critters! I try to pick up one or two a year to pretty things up!

Hope you are having a lovely week!

XO,
Jane
