You may recall I've been reworking the dining room, as a reminder you can revisit that post HERE. It's taken on a life of it's own over the last few weeks. Last winter my girlfriend showed me this piece of fabric, I immediately fell in love with the design, the weight and color scheme. Never thinking in a million years it would be a piece I would use in the dining room. They say copying someone is the highest form of flattery.
I wanted a coordinating fabric for the back and chose the one on the left. The deep chocolate brown flows well with the dining room curtains. I hope you can see the deep blues, rich greens and touches of red. All the colors I love to use around me.
Mr. P has shared a lot over the years his love for horses and those he had as a child. I was hoping he would say something positive about the fabric. He did folks said, "now that's kind of pretty." Trust me, from him that's high praise. lol... So, it's a win win situation.
Now, I just have to find the time to cut it out and put it together..
After looking at the pictures and playing around with the fabric, I'm now leaning towards 2 separate runners with napkins. The fabrics are good quality and quite heavy. So, now another decision has to be made before I begin. :-)) One runner or two? I would love to hear what you would do.
Until next time....

If you have enough fabric I would definitely make 2 runners! They are both beautiful fabrics so would make beautiful runners! I sure wish I could sew!!! Have a wonderful weekend, Lynne. Hope Mr. P. is doing OK. I think about you both, often. XO, Pinky

Beautiful fabric! I like Gloria's ideas, if you made pillows you could see them all year, not just when the table is set!
Hope all is going well for you, and yours.
