Roses and Pansies

The last few days around here have felt like winter. A bit of snow on the ground and crisp cool temperatures. Although the rain last night washed away most of the snow it was nice to see that fine white stuff falling from the air, leaving magic in it's tracks. Even though it's a bit early for Spring flowers I thought I would play with a few inside, looking through my stash of Spring flowers always gives me a lift.

Over the years I've collected many things tea sets and teapots among them. Graceful handles and gentle spouts grace the table for a spot of tea. A few candles lite bouncing off the china adds a touch of romance.

To add some interest to the table I added another charming teacup, a nice coordinate with the serving set. Mixing china pieces together is a great way to add interest to a table.
The pop of purple with the fun Spring like yellow adds a touch of interest and whimsy to the elegant tea pot.

Thanks for swinging in to have a spot of tea with me.

Gorgeous Lynn! I love ALL your teacups and the beautiful teapot, kinda looks like one I have from Poland, although the beautiful sugar bowl is not alike and I have no cups, snif, snif...Just lovely with the pansies, I love it! Hugs,

I don't know why I always forget what a great decorating flower the pansy is! It doesn't spring to mind until I see it used somewhere like this where it just totally makes sense. The combination of roses & pansies makes me think of movies like "Sense & Sensibility" or "Wuthering Heights". Beautiful!

I can just imagine how extensive your collection must be. What's showing in this post is quite lovely. In fact, the gold handles are something I've never seen before. That teapots is gorgeous. Are the spoons part of the set? Very unusual.

Happy Pink Saturday, Lynn!

We had snow on Monday....it was gone and Tuesday....and I couldn't be happier!! We've had the best winter EVER as far as "no snow" goes, but I think it's only because the last two winters were so terribly bad, bad, BAD! I've been able to get back to my running because the weather is so nice and because my ham string injury seems healed (trying to get conditioned again..it doesn't take long to loose that..I hadn't run since Oct.).

Love your teapots and cups and gorgeous spring flowers!! I'm ready for them to start popping up and blooming for us!

Have a great weekend....will you be treasure hunting?
