~ Random Christmas ~

The clouds have been around it seems like forever. A drizzle falls outside and temps are dropping, are we going to get the snow they're predicting? Just in case I've got the sled out and ready to go.
I've wanted a pair of ice skates for the longest time, I found these on Etsy, in my size almost like new blades polished and ready to go. OK, we know better my ankles couldn't take ice skating, but in my mind I'm sailing across the ice.
A cast iron plant stand holds pine cones Mr. P and I gathered over 30 years ago in a park in Atlanta, Georgia.

The top of the antique ice box holds the small aluminum tree courted by the vintage snowman. Adding a bit of bling the silver tray holds red ornaments.

It's been so cloudy getting good shots has been difficult. This guy sits inside a lantern, holding his broom ready to shovel the snow.
Let's turn on some light... On either side of the table I hung wreaths with black and cream bows.

This is the last of the trees around our home. I started this tree 11 years ago right after Bailey was born, it's taken on a lot of different looks over the years. After putting up the tree this year I got to looking around and have decided the tree is too small for the size of the room. I'll take it apart this year, and look for something a tad bit larger for next year, anyway that's the game plan..
Mr. Santa was a gift from a friend about 18 years ago, I haven't used him in years for one reason or another. This year the base of the tree called out for both the sled and Santa.

From our home to yours we wish you the Safest and Joyous of Holidays.

Hi Lynne, Love all your Christmas touches around the your home! Your tree is so adorable, and I love how you gussied up your sled too! I had also been looking for some skates to decorate my sled too but of course found black ones instead white... But was happy to at least find some... Was going to paint them white but decided to just leave them black(for now)and add some red laces!

Hope you have a warm and wonderful holiday dear friend!
Hugs, Sherri:)

Merry Christmas, Lynne! What I love about your decorating is that it's different. I want to say "whimsical" but no...imaginative is a better word, I think. Alway so interesting, beatuiful and inspires me to try new and different things. (However I have to come to you for idea's so mine are NOT original.) :)
Love,
Mona

Loved seeing all of your lovely decorations... :-)

Years ago, when Dorothy Hammil won the Olympics, I thought I'd hop right on the ice and do a couple of double toe loops... I'd never skated before, but I did have a really cute sweater for the occasion.... well, one trip around the rink, holding (read: grasping) onto the edge, I took those skates off and have never tried that again.

Merry, merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, Lynne,
Your house is dazzling! I love your tree by the window and your porch is truly enchanting. That big bow and the white skates are so perfect on the sled.
Don't laugh, but I had a sled like that growing up and had the best time flying down the hills close to our home in Omaha. I loved to skate too and did regularly. I yearn to try now, but everyone is aghast that I might fall...I have more confidence in myself then others...lol!

Lynne your house looked absolutely wonderful for Christmas! Lovin' those new skates girlfriend! And why the heck couldn't ya glide over the ice? I think you could do it *winks* And you even have the pond!
I've been hitting a few local antique stores after Christmas sales in the hope of finding a sled like yours *winks* Super expensive! Even on sale. *sighs*
Have you had any more luck finding the perfect chandelier? The one you have pictured is a beauty! Did Santa per chance bring you one? Vanna
