~ The Count Down Begins ~

This past week has been full of many duties, along with the regular household things, I've been putting the finishing touches on the shop for the Holiday Open House. I still cannot believe it's that time of year and it's here. With the shop being ready except for tweaking here and there, it was time to begin the annual baking of goodies I serve each year. This year there will be quite the variety to choose from, these are just a few of the ingredients I've used..
Lots, of chocolate pieces, toffee, and peanut butter. Quite a few bars of almond bark. Any guesses anyone?

First pan of yummy peanut butter fudge. I'll tell ya this stuff is just too good not to taste, so taste I did. lol I'll share the recipe next week when I have a bit more time. It is so easy and never fails!
I've set the table for all the goodies, what do you think? Each of the glass stands a gift from my girlfriend for my birthday this year, will be full to overflowing as well as the silver cake stand.
I didn't want to leave the table unadorned, so added the greenery with pine cones, the new jingle bell garland, the darling lamp with the candy cane sleeve, it can be changed out for the seasons, and the gorgeous iced Santa.

This years tree is full to overflowing with glass icicles, vintage ornaments....
Beautiful limed Atstible stems to add more bling as well as make the tree appear more full.
Every tree needs a package or two. With all the silver and touch of red and I wanted to keep the wrapping simple. I chose white paper, used black ribbon on a few and the new checked ribbon I just got into the shop on others.
I wish each and everyone of you could stop by to say hello and do a bit of shopping.
I'll try to add pictures as time permits.

I so wish I could come1 I really like your tree and the beautiful layout awaiting the food.

Can I get some of the black and white ribbon?

Let me know -- if you have time.

I am sure going to get my hips up there to visit your shop soon! I don't think you'd want me there right now coughing all over everything and everyone, but when I get myself back on track...look out, sister, 'cause here I come! :-) I'll have a large slice of fudge, please!

What an exciting time, Lynne! I'd love to try that fudge! It looks delicious. Love your table and tree! Was the white gift paper hard to work with? I tried using brown paper last year and it was SO thick!

Wishing you a wonderful time!

XO,
Jane

G'morning, Lynne! Your shop would be a dream come true for me!
It's just beautiful. You have a golden touch, you really do! The deep green carpet gives everything such a rich feel. The black and white wrapped gifts...everything!
You make everyday a holiday for me.
I am so glad I subscribed to your blog and can get it with my morning email. It starts my day and it always such a treat for me.

The table is beautiful and so is that lovely cake plate your friend gave you.
And to think I can watch your decorating progress every day...perfect way to start the day! Keeps me motivated..and I am NOT just saying that!
I am such a fan! LOL
